Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Domes opened Aulūs Lindos Rhodes in April 2026 and Aulūs Chania in May 2026.
  • Cascade Wellness Resort and Baobab Suites expanded Domes into Portugal and Tenerife in 2026.
  • Michelin Keys in 2025 and Makris Athens' star support premium pricing and hiring pull.

What critics are saying

  • Goldman Sachs-backed Casa Collective integration strains management bandwidth through 2026.
  • Domes depends on Mediterranean leisure demand; a bad 2026 season hits openings fast.
  • If asset-light growth slows, private-equity owners will demand returns and exit pressure rises.

What makes Domes Resorts & Reserves unique

  • Domes pairs Michelin Keys, Michelin-starred Makris Athens, and design-led resort storytelling.
  • It runs lifestyle brands across Greece, Portugal, and Spain, not one standardized flag.
  • Its Aulūs and Finds concepts target distinct traveler segments with strong experiential packaging.

Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos opens new Italian restaurant.

Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos opens new Italian restaurant. Antonino's brings artisan pizzas, handmade pasta and Mediterranean flavours to the five-star Algarve resort. Antonino's restaurant The recently rebranded Cascade Wellness Resort by Domes has expanded its dining offering with the opening of Antonino's, a new Italian restaurant celebrating traditional recipes, artisan ingredients and Mediterranean hospitality. Located within the five-star resort in Lagos, Antonino's is the latest addition to the property's growing portfolio of restaurants following Cascade's integration into the Domes Resorts collection, marking the Greek luxury hospitality group's second property in Portugal. The restaurant aims to combine authentic Italian cuisine with fresh Algarve produce in a relaxed yet elegant setting, welcoming both hotel guests and outside visitors. The menu features a selection of classic Italian starters, including tuna carpaccio and fried calamari with confit lemon, alongside pasta dishes such as linguine with Carabineiro prawns and pumpkin ravioli cacio e pepe. The centrepiece, however, is its range of artisan pizzas, prepared using dough fermented for 72 hours before being baked with premium ingredients. Choices include the classic Margherita, the Zucca & Gamberi with pumpkin and prawns, and the spicy Diavola with mozzarella, spianata salami and nduja. Desserts include an Antonino's signature tiramisu, Crema Bruciata al Limoncello and Gianduja hazelnut mousse.

Gold Medal and Pure Luxury make Europe 'major focus'

Gold Medal and Pure Luxury make Europe 'major focus' A 68-page Europe brochure and selling guide has been produced for the first time by Gold Medal. The publication comes as part of dual campaigns by the B2B operator and specialist brand Pure Luxury for August. Both campaigns offer extensive property portfolios, flights from scheduled and low-cost airlines, and a range of options for different budgets and preferences. As incentives, Gold Medal is offering five places on a Crete and Santorini fam trip in partnership with Domes Resorts, while Pure Luxury package bookings can be entered into a prize draw for a four-night stay at Kimpton Atlantico, Algarve. Pure Luxury's 'Exceptional Europe' campaign showcases a collection of iconic and ultra-luxury hotels and resorts. Both campaigns include dedicated destination hubs for agents with downloadable social media assets, point of sale material and exclusive regional offers from a selection of UK airports. Marketing and interim product director Sarah Lancashire said: "Europe is a major focus for us right now as we continue to expand our portfolio of standout properties across the region. "Both campaigns are designed to make it as simple as possible for agents to find the right product, and the team and I are especially excited to share the beautiful new Gold Medal brochure. "Crucially, each campaign goes beyond the usual Europe selling tips, with specialist insight from the experts offering destination knowledge that can only be gained by being there. "And, because we believe first-hand experience is vital to selling with confidence, we're rewarding agents making bookings with these two exceptional incentives."

Domes Resorts becomes majority shareholder in Casa Collective [Cook's Club, Casa Cook and XIA].

Domes Resorts becomes majority shareholder in Casa Collective [Cook's Club, Casa Cook and XIA]. The hospitality platform will continue to operate its brands independently while expanding globally through franchise and strategic partnerships | Casa Collective currently comprises a portfolio of 13 hotels across key destinations | Following the acquisition, four additional properties are expected to join the portfolio, alongside a broader pipeline of opportunities under evaluation | Domes will support the platform's international expansion through operational expertise and development capabilities Domes Resorts has entered an agreement with Goldman Sachs to acquire Casa Collective, the hospitality platform behind the Cook's Club and Casa Cook brands, marking the next stage of international growth for the brand portfolio. Hospitality entrepreneur Remo Masala will be a shareholder too, acting as a strategic partner and creative lead in the platform. The transaction reflects increasing investor confidence in scalable, brand-led hospitality platforms and positions Casa Collective to accelerate its international footprint. Casa Collective currently operates a portfolio of 13 hotels across key destinations, providing a strong foundation for further international expansion. This scale reflects the commitment and performance of the teams across all Casa Collective properties. As a result of the transaction, four additional properties are expected to join the portfolio, alongside a broader set of prospective projects currently under review. The partnership is intended to support the continued expansion of the platform through franchise, management, and strategic development collaborations across leisure destinations and gateway cities worldwide. In parallel, the group will explore the incorporation of strategic partners to support growth through a targeted property acquisition strategy. "Our ambition is to provide hotel owners and partners with a strong and reliable platform for growth while ensuring that each brand retains its unique character and guest experience." said Dr. George P. Spanos, CEO of Domes Resorts. Casa Collective will continue to operate as an independent hospitality company, preserving the distinct positioning and identity of each brand while benefiting from Domes' operational expertise, development capabilities and access to capital. The platform will continue to collaborate with hotel owners through flexible partnership structures, including franchise, management, development and co-investment models. Partners are expected to benefit from enhanced international distribution and marketing reach, access to development and financing opportunities, as well as operational expertise and brand development support, alongside cross-brand collaborations and shared guest communities. Existing franchise agreements, core brand teams and operating structures will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity and long-term value for hotel owners and partners. The platform's brand portfolio includes Cook's Club, a vibrant social hospitality concept centred around music, food, and community; Casa Cook, a minimalist boutique concept defined by a relaxed and understated atmosphere where architecture, landscape, and community create a strong sense of place; and XIA, the latest addition to the portfolio, a newly developed family-oriented experiential hospitality concept. The platform is well positioned to capture growing demand for experience-led lifestyle hospitality, particularly among a new generation of globally mobile travellers. Together, the brands form a complementary hospitality ecosystem designed to evolve alongside travellers across different life stages and travel preferences. Hospitality entrepreneur Remo Masala, founder of the Berlin-based tourism innovation and brand studio Vision Alphabet, was instrumental in developing Cook's Club and Casa Cook and will remain actively involved in the platform as a shareholder and creative partner. He has also developed XIA, which joins the portfolio as its third core brand. Remo Masala says, "Casa Collective was never conceived as a single brand, but as a framework for different ways of experiencing hospitality. As we grow, our focus is on strengthening the clarity of each concept and further developing the idea that connects them." He added that he is delighted to be part of this new chapter of the company he helped bring to life 10 years ago.
