Driscoll names Shane Casady Chief Operating Officer. Driscoll Health System has named Shane Casady, MSHCA, FACHE, as Chief Operating Officer, elevating a longtime Driscoll leader with nearly two decades of experience. Casady will help lead operations across a pediatric health system including two children's hospitals, Driscoll Health Plan and specialty centers and clinics across South Texas. "Shane has grown as a leader alongside Driscoll, and he understands this organization from the ground up," said Eric Hamon, President and CEO of Driscoll Health System. "He has demonstrated a deep commitment to our patients, employees and communities and brings a broad understanding of our operations and mission. I am confident he will help lead Driscoll through its next chapter of growth." Casady most recently served as Vice President of Professional and Support Services at Driscoll Children's Hospital. During his nearly two decades with Driscoll, he has held leadership roles across the hospital and Driscoll Health Plan. His experience includes hospital operations, strategic and operational planning, capital and facility development, major construction and expansion projects, service and infrastructure planning, and enterprise-wide growth initiatives. He has also helped advance Driscoll's government relations, advocacy and public policy strategy. Today, Driscoll has more than 4,500 employees, two freestanding children's hospitals, a nonprofit health plan and dozens of clinics, caring for more than 200,000 patients annually. "I am honored to serve Driscoll Health System in this new role," Casady said. "I have been fortunate to spend my career working alongside people committed to children and families. Casady earned a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He and his wife, Ersulyn, are Corpus Christi natives and have two daughters, Ava and Aniston.
