Electricity Canada has appointed Jana Mosley, president and CEO of Toronto Hydro, as chair of its board of directors. Mosley brings over 25 years of experience in the electricity sector, focusing on safety, operations, and regulatory frameworks. * Previously served as president of ENMAX Power Corporation in Calgary. * Recognized as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women in 2023 and received a Calgary Influential Women in Business award in 2022. * Holds a Professional Engineer designation and is a Harvard Business School alumna. This appointment is significant as Canada aims to double its electricity capacity, with Mosley's leadership expected to enhance collaboration and drive the modernization of the grid that Canadians rely on. Electricity Canada has appointed Toronto Hydro president and CEO Jana Mosley to the role of chair for its board of directors. Mosley brings more than 25 years of electricity sector experience to the role, having developed expertise in safety, operations, regulatory frameworks, policy, grid modernization and customer experience across her career. Prior to joining Toronto Hydro, Mosley served as president of Calgary's ENMAX Power Corporation. She has also held executive and technical leadership positions with the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), TransAlta Utilities, and AltaLink Management Ltd. In 2022, Mosley received a Calgary Influential Women in Business award, and was recognized as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women by WXN in 2023. She is a designated Professional Engineer, Harvard Business School alumni, certified Project Management Professional (PMP). In addition to her new role on Electricity Canada's board of directors, Mosley serves as a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D), director of the board for the Western Energy Institute, and a member of the Ontario Energy Association's board of directors, where she previously served as chair.
