Overview

EW Grobbel is a family-founded meat company known for premium whole muscle meats and pickles. Its products, sold under the Grobbel’s brand, include corned beef and other deli meats produced in Detroit and distributed across Michigan and hundreds of U.S. distribution centers. The company operates by crafting high-quality foods through skilled production, while expanding via acquisitions (Sy Ginsberg's Meat & Deli and Topor's Pickle Company) to strengthen its deli-focused offerings. CLAIR SHORES, MICH. - EW Grobbel, a Detroit meat company known for its corned beef and various meat products since 1883, announced it recently opened its newly renovated production facility in St. Clair Shores, Mich. The 90,000-square-foot facility was acquired from Perdue Premium Meat Co. in late 2023 and operated under the Alexander & Hornung brand. Company officials also expressed appreciation for the Detroit community for helping to renovate the building.
