Overview
Eagle Creek Renewable Energy buys, upgrades, and operates small hydroelectric plants in the United States to generate electricity and sell it in wholesale power markets. It owns 85 hydro facilities with about 690 MW of capacity spread across multiple states, often restoring underperforming sites to boost output and reliability. Since being acquired by Ontario Power Generation in 2018 and merging with Cube Hydro Partners in 2019, it operates as a wholly owned subsidiary with its own board and management. Its goal is to grow clean power generation, diversify its asset base, and supply reliable electricity to North American customers while maintaining dam safety and environmental stewardship.
