EarthDaily launches eighth satellite, enters commercial operations with full constellation

EarthDaily announced successful contact with satellite EDC-08 following its 7 July launch aboard SpaceX's Transporter-17 mission. The deployment brings the EarthDaily Constellation to eight satellites, the number required for commercial operations. Each spacecraft carries 16 imagers collecting data across 22 spectral bands. Seven satellites are progressing through commissioning and returning initial imagery. The constellation is designed to deliver daily global land coverage for monitoring change across defence, agriculture, natural resources, climate resilience, and infrastructure. The system features controlled geometric and radiometric calibration and spectral alignment with Sentinel and Landsat archives. CEO Don Osborne said the system is performing as expected, with satellites contributing to a common measurement system built for broad-area monitoring and AI-driven analysis.
