Ekumen

Robotics software services, XR, and consulting

Overview

Ekumen provides engineering services for robotics, physical AI, and XR software development. It works by supplying remote engineering teams (staff augmentation) or delivering consulting across all stages of robotics software, enabling clients to scale capabilities and accelerate development. The company covers the full robotics software stack—perception, localization and mapping (including SLAM), navigation, ROS/ROS 2, and fleet management—plus DevOps/MLOps, simulation, and synthetic data for testing before hardware deployment. After its 2026 acquisition by Grid Dynamics, Ekumen expands capabilities in physical AI and autonomous robotics, with a goal to help clients build, validate, and deploy autonomous robotic systems through end-to-end expertise and scalable teams.
