elobau designs and manufactures contactless sensor technology and safety devices for industrial and automotive use. They produce sensors and safety components that detect position, level, or presence without physical contact using magnetic fields, RFID, optical/ultrasonic sensing, and electronic safety interlocks, which are integrated into machines via configurable safety control units and relays. The company differentiates itself through in-house end-to-end capabilities (manufacturing, tool making, R&D, testing), a broad global product lineup focused on machine safety and operator controls, and a carbon-neutral production history since 2010 within a family-owned structure. Its goal is to provide reliable, configurable safety and sensor solutions to customers worldwide while maintaining ethical practices and carbon-neutral production.

elobau has acquired Hamburg-based startup recalm through an asset deal. Recalm develops audio, voice and active noise-cancelling systems for off-highway and industrial applications. The companies previously collaborated on recalm's ANCOR headrest, a retrofit system that reduces vehicle noise in heavy machinery cabins without requiring headphones whilst enabling hands-free calling and radio communication. Recalm will become a subsidiary within the ensian group, whilst production operations transfer to elobau's Leutkirch facility, expected to begin in June. The acquisition expands elobau's portfolio in sensor technology and human-machine interaction, combining recalm's audio technologies with elobau's existing expertise in sensors and operating systems. The move strengthens elobau's position as a solution provider for modern machine operation.
