Overview

Enloe Health is an independent, nonprofit health system serving Butte County and California's North State. Its services span emergency and trauma care, heart and cancer treatment, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, joint replacement, maternity care and outpatient clinics. Enloe Medical Center is a 264-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center, supported by the FlightCare air ambulance service and a network of regional facilities. A community-based volunteer board governs the organisation, with revenue reinvested in local care, while affiliated medical providers extend access across the region. The system traces its origins to Enloe Hospital, opened by Dr. Newton Thomas Enloe in Chico, California, in 1913.
