Entourage combines a venture studio with an early-stage venture capital fund to support startups from two angles. It acts as a creator and builder of new companies (the venture studio) by developing ideas, forming teams, and launching ventures, while also providing seed-stage investment (the early-stage VC) to external founders and portfolio companies. In practice, founders can access hands-on support, resources, and both incubation and funding under one roof, helping turn ideas into companies and help growing startups get early funding. The company differentiates itself by pairing company-building capabilities with early-stage investing in a single organization, offering a coordinated approach rather than a traditional separation between studios and investors. Its goal is to accelerate the creation and growth of high-potential startups by providing both the creation engine and the capital to scale.

kausable raises €12M to build AI models that learn and adapt without retraining. German startup kausable, which develops reasoning-first AI models designed to adapt to changing environments without continuous retraining, has secured €12 million in a seed funding round led by UVC Partners and Entourage, with participation from HTGF, Mätch VC, and several AI industry and academic angel investors. * Established in 2025 by Johannes Haux, Dr Benjamin Herdeanu, and Gregor Ramien, kausable is a Heidelberg-based AI startup developing frontier AI models that can learn from limited examples and adapt to new situations without requiring constant retraining. * The company builds causal "world models" that learn cause-and-effect relationships rather than relying solely on patterns identified from large datasets. Its models are trained using synthetic causal data, enabling them to understand how systems behave and apply that knowledge to unfamiliar scenarios with only a small number of examples. * The technology is designed to improve AI efficiency in areas such as robotics, healthcare, forecasting, and industrial systems, where adapting to changing environments remains a major challenge. Details of the deal. * With the fresh capital, the company plans to expand its nine-person team, advance its rapid-learning frontier AI model, and move from research toward commercial applications by testing its technology with early customers across sectors including robotics, healthcare, forecasting, and industrial systems.
Sightera Biosciences closes €3M pre-seed to expand its patient-derived AI drug discovery platform. The funding will expand Sightera's AI-driven drug discovery platform, advance its lead oncology programme towards candidate selection, and strengthen partnerships with pharmaceutical companies. Sightera Biosciences, a Belgian techbio company using generative AI to develop novel small-molecule therapies, has raised €3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Entourage, Anacura and QBIC. A spin-off from the University of Antwerp and Antwerp University Hospital (UZA), Sightera is developing an AI-native drug discovery platform focused on oncology and fibrosis. Unlike many AI drug discovery companies that rely on public or generic datasets, Sightera trains its models using proprietary data generated from patient-derived biological samples collected from individuals with advanced, therapy-resistant disease. These samples are used to create preclinical models, including organoids, that closely replicate human disease biology and generate large-scale drug-response datasets. The proprietary datasets underpin Sightera's AI platform, enabling it to design small molecules based on biological responses observed in patient-derived systems rather than chemical properties alone. By placing human disease biology at the centre of the discovery process, the company aims to improve the likelihood that AI-designed drug candidates will translate successfully into clinical development. The funding will support the expansion of Sightera's AI-powered drug discovery platform, accelerate the development of its preclinical pipeline and advance its lead molecular glue oncology programme towards preclinical candidate selection. The company also plans to strengthen strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies while expanding its research, AI and data science teams. Follow the developments in the technology world. What would you like us to deliver to you?
Belgian biotech Sightera Biosciences has raised €3 million in a pre-seed round led by Entourage, Anacura, and QBIC. The University of Antwerp spin-off takes an unconventional approach to AI drug discovery by starting with treatment-resistant patient samples rather than designing molecules first. Sightera grows tissue from patients whose cancer or fibrosis no longer responds to standard treatments into organoids, then runs drug screens. Its AI uses this data to design small molecules tailored to produce the desired biological response. The funding will advance the company's lead molecular glue oncology programme, SIGHT001, toward preclinical candidate selection. The Antwerp-based company, founded in 2024, plans a larger funding round to take SIGHT001 into clinical trials. The global AI drug discovery market was valued at approximately $2.35 billion in 2025.
Warren, a Ghent, Belgium-based developer of a digital workplace pension and financial coaching platform, raised €10m in seed funding
Entourâge, a €75 million fund targeting Silver Economy startups in France and Europe, launched on 18 June 2026. The fund will invest €1-5 million tickets in around 20 companies, with first deals expected by December 2026. The vehicle, structured as a 10-year fund, focuses on six areas: home care, preventive health, care profession attractiveness, mental health and carer support, social connection and culture, and end-of-life care. The fund is backed by Serena, UMR and makesense, who previously collaborated on the Racine² impact fund. Entourâge forms part of UMR's Ogimi strategy, which aims to deploy €350 million between 2025 and 2030 across four asset classes. France's Silver Economy market is estimated to exceed €130 billion by 2030, driven by demographic shifts showing over-65s reaching 22.2% of the population.
