Overview

Envision Education operates urban public schools and a nationwide consultancy focused on college readiness and success for first-generation students. It runs five small, high-performing charter schools in the San Francisco Bay Area (two middle schools and three high schools) where students complete A-G Common Core coursework and engage in project-based learning that builds critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and other 21st-century skills. Its Portfolio Defense model equips students with academic and social-emotional skills to gain admission to college and persist through graduation, addressing equity by expanding access for underserved students. In 2010 it launched Envision Learning Partners (ELP), a consultancy that helps teachers and leaders across the U.S. adopt Envision’s school model, creating vibrant, engaging schools nationwide. The core goal is to transform lives by opening college, career, and life opportunities for first-generation students.
