Five Point affiliate sells 17.7 acres in Irvine for $159 million. Erickson Senior Living plans to build a 1.8M SF Continuing Care Retirement Community on the site July 24, 2026 Great Park Venture, an affiliate of Five Point Holdings, sold 17.7 acres of land within the Great Park Neighborhoods in Irvine to Erickson Senior Living for $159.3 million or about $9 million an acre. The purchase price was disclosed in Five Point's Q2 financial results released Thursday. The Business Journal previously reported that Maryland-based Erickson plans to build a 1.8 million-square-foot Continuing Care Retirement Community on the site. City records show the project will feature 980 independent living units and up to 194 assisted living and memory care beds across six buildings. The development is planned for a vacant lot at the southwest corner of Marine Way and the future Ada roadway extension, directly across from the Cultural Terrace development and adjacent to the Irvine Transportation Center. CFG provides $179.8M construction loan to Erickson Senior Living. SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. - Capital Funding Group has provided a $179.8 million construction loan to Erickson Senior Living. Erickson will use the financing for the first phase of development of Emerson Lakes, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) currently underway in Sarasota County. Situated within the Lakewood Ranch community, the first phase of Emerson Lakes will comprise four buildings - three residential buildings and one community building. Together, the three residential buildings will total 319 independent living units. Upon completion, Emerson Lakes will span 87 acres with 1,015 independent living residences and 130 continuing care units. Erickson will operate the community.
