The X8 is available as a standalone detector or as part of a conveyorized inspection system. The X8-SF expands the PrecisionGuard X8 platform with simultaneous frequency technology that inspects products at multiple frequencies at once. The X8-SF also features a robust construction, easy-to-use touchscreen interface, and integrated data-capture capabilities. High-capacity lifting magnets handle large parts. Eriez has added three new models to its SafeHold APL series of permanent lifting magnets. The APL-52, APL-70, and APL-100 expand the line's lifting capacity to 10,000 lbs. and support the handling of larger steel plates, cut parts, and fabricated components in plasma cutting, laser cutting, waterjet cutting, and other material handling environments. The crane-activated permanent lifting magnets allow operators to load and unload steel sheets and plates from a safer distance without manual magnet activation or release. They also eliminate the need for battery backup systems. The new models are suitable for a variety of metalworking applications, including steel fabrication, service center operations, and large-part machining.
