Renewable energy startup Euclid announces acquisition of Thresh, expanding AI-Powered diligence capabilities across its software and expert services.
Euclid Power, a New York-based startup helping renewables developers manage regulatory paperwork, is acquiring AI platform Thresh, CEO Jacob Sandry told Semafor. The deal's financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition will enable solar project developers to complete document analysis work in hours rather than days or weeks, according to Sandry. Climate tech startups are increasingly turning to AI as solar developers face tightening margins due to trade barriers and disappearing tax credits. Whilst AI can improve project efficiency, Sandry emphasised the continued importance of human expertise. The move reflects broader adoption of AI across the climate tech sector as companies seek to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Euclid Power has launched Red Flag Snapshot, a 24-hour diligence screening product for renewable energy investors evaluating solar and storage project acquisitions. The service combines AI-assisted document analysis with expert review to deliver structured risk assessments within one business day. The launch responds to surging transaction volume in renewable energy, driven by growing US electricity demand from AI data centres, manufacturing and electrification. Renewables accounted for over 90% of new US generating capacity in each of the past two years, but traditional diligence processes have struggled to keep pace. Founded by former Goldman Sachs executives, Euclid Power has applied its framework across more than 1,000 solar and storage projects representing over $10 billion in value. The product surfaces risks, document gaps and prioritised questions, with all findings validated by renewable energy experts.
* Euclid Power, a renewable energy investment platform designed to guide through the execution of projects at all stages of the project lifecycle, raised $20 million through a combination of Series A-1 and Series A-2 venture funding in a deal led by Venrock.
Renewable energy software company Euclid Power has raised US$20 million in Series A round led by Venrock to develop an AI-driven platform and services for renewables.
