Every.io offers banking, investment advisory, and cash management through a tech-enabled platform targeted at individual investors and small businesses. Banking is FDIC-insured via Thread Bank, investment advisory is provided through Atomic Invest, and a Pershing cash sweep moves idle funds into interest-bearing accounts. The platform combines these services through partnerships to provide a single, integrated experience, though it can create a conflict of interest by steering clients toward Atomic Invest. The goal is to simplify and optimize financial services with a unified, accessible suite that helps users manage deposits, investments, and cash efficiently.

Every's new Health Benefits model helps startups lower employer costs. Jeanne Gray The Series A-funded company is tackling one of startups' greatest challenges, offering employees healthcare benefits during its important first few years. Every, an all-in-one back-office platform for startups and small businesses, has launched Every Benefits. The platform offers a new approach to employer-sponsored health coverage designed to reduce company healthcare costs without diminishing the employee benefits experience. The San Francisco-based company says its new benefits model combines fully insured health plans with employer-funded reimbursement arrangements. The system, which brings together insurance brokerage, benefits administration, payroll, banking, and health reimbursement arrangement administration, makes a previously complex benefits strategy accessible to smaller employers. According to the company, Every Benefits may reduce annual health benefits spending by as much as 12% for a typical 25-employee startup. That could translate into approximately $31,000 in annual savings for a 25-person company and approximately $125,000 for a 100-person company. The company emphasizes that employees may retain the same insurance carrier, provider network, and overall healthcare experience. Addressing rising startup health insurance costs. Health insurance remains one of the largest and fastest-growing expenses facing startups and small businesses. Every cites the KFF Employer Health Benefits Survey. It indicates that health insurance premiums have increased by 24% over the past five years. The company estimates that a typical 25-person startup offering a fully insured Platinum PPO plan may spend more than $261,000 annually on employee health coverage. Competitive health benefits are also frequently viewed as an important tool for recruiting and retaining talent, particularly in the startup and technology sectors. Every Benefits seeks to resolve this challenge by changing when and how employers pay healthcare expenses. Instead of paying the higher premiums associated with a Platinum-level plan, an employer could select a lower-premium Gold or Silver plan. The employer would then establish a reimbursement arrangement that covers eligible employee expenses, including deductibles and other out-of-pocket costs. Employees continue using their health insurance normally and receive reimbursement for eligible expenses. Every says this structure can create a $0 effective deductible experience in many cases. How the Every Benefits model works. Traditional health insurance premiums require employers to pay for a certain level of coverage whether employees use it or not. Under the Every Benefits model, the company pays lower insurance premiums upfront and reimburses employees only when eligible healthcare expenses are incurred. Employer funds that are not needed for reimbursements are not spent. As a result, Every says a Silver plan may provide employees with an experience similar to a Gold plan, while a Gold plan could function more like a Platinum plan. For a representative 25-person company, Every estimates that annual health benefits spending could decline from approximately $261,000 to $230,000. That represents typical-year savings of about $31,000. Actual savings will depend on employee healthcare utilization, location, plan selection, employer contributions, and other factors. The company noted that Every Benefits is currently available only in select states. Bringing benefits, payroll, and banking together. Health reimbursement arrangements can be difficult for small businesses to administer because they typically require coordination among several vendors. A health insurance broker, a benefits administration platform, a payroll provider, an HRA administrator, and a banking or payment provider are typically involved. Employers must ensure that reimbursements, payroll deductions, employee enrollment, funding, and compliance processes work together accurately. Every says its integrated platform eliminates much of that operational complexity. The company operates as a licensed insurance broker, benefits administration platform, payroll provider, and banking partner. By bringing those functions into one system, Every can manage the health plan and reimbursement process through a single vendor relationship. "This is the kind of product you can only build if you've already built the rest of the back office," said Barry Peterson, co-founder and chief technology officer of Every. "Payroll, banking, and benefits running as one system is what makes the model work." Every's broader benefits platform includes health, dental, and vision insurance, along with flexible spending accounts, dependent care FSAs, and commuter benefits. Helping founders avoid a difficult benefits trade-off. Rajeev Behera, co-founder and CEO of Every, said startup founders frequently express frustration with annual benefits renewals and continued premium increases. "They know they're paying for more coverage than their team typically uses," Behera said. "We built Every Benefits so owners never have to make that trade again. Same carrier. Same network. You just stop paying for coverage your team isn't using." The Series A company has raised $32 million in venture funding from investors including Y Combinator and Redpoint. Every positions its integrated back-office system as a way for founders to spend less time managing administrative functions and more time building, selling, and scaling their companies. With Every Benefits, the company is extending that strategy to one of the most expensive and complicated areas of startup operations: employee healthcare.
Every, a back-office platform for startups and small businesses, has launched Every Benefits, a health benefits model that pairs fully insured plans with employer-funded reimbursement arrangements. The system can reduce health insurance costs by up to 12% whilst maintaining the same carriers and networks for employees. The platform addresses rising health insurance premiums, which have climbed 24% over five years according to KFF's Employer Health Benefits Survey. A typical 25-person company could save approximately $31,000 annually, whilst a 100-employee company could see savings of around $125,000. Every combines insurance brokerage, benefits administration, payroll, and banking in one platform. The company is Series A-backed, having raised $32 million from Y Combinator and Redpoint.
Every launches AI-Native back office agents for startups and small business owners. Mar 13, 2026, 10:00 ET SAN FRANCISCO, March 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Every (every.io) today unveiled its next-generation AI-powered back-office agents, empowering startups and small businesses with the operational support of a full-service team - spanning banking, payroll, benefits, HR compliance, accounting and taxes - without having to hire anyone. Every, the all-in-one back-office platform designed for scaling businesses, today unveiled its next-generation AI agents: the AI CFO, AI Bookkeeper and AI CHRO. For founders stretched thin across every function, Every replaces the patchwork of consultants and software tools with a single AI-Native platform that works around the clock, autonomously. Owners should be 100% focused on growth, but the burden of managing administrative tasks often gets in the way. Every is designed to eliminate this conflict. With powerful AI agents trained and managed by real human experts, Every handles the operational complexity of a small business, ensuring owners and their teams can finally dedicate themselves to scaling. AI agents are only as good as the context they are given. While competitors offer point solutions that provide low-context agents, Every is an all-in-one platform - handling banking, payroll, HR, benefits, accounting, and taxes. This 360 degree view of a company's back-office gives our AI agents high-context, enabling them to deliver accurate and customized operational support. "At my last startup, Reflektive, I made some critical mistakes when setting up my back office because I couldn't afford the right help - so I just guessed as I went," said Rajeev Behera, CEO of Every. "That experience is exactly why we built Every. Most small businesses don't need more software to manage; they need a partner who handles the hard stuff for them. Every gives every business owner the operational support of a full-service team - without the overhead." What Every Does for Your Business AI CFO: Real-Time Financial Intelligence, Not Just a Dashboard Every provides AI CFO that holds the complete financial context of your company. It knows how much you're spending, whether your business is viable at your current burn rate, when your runway ends, and what levers to pull to extend it. Business owners can run "what if" scenarios - modeling the financial impact of a new hire, a capital expenditure, or a pricing change - instantly. Real-time snapshots of expenses and cash balances feeds this intelligence continuously, so your AI CFO is always working from current numbers, not last month's data. AI Bookkeeper: Automate the Work Your Bookkeeper Bills You For For most small businesses, bookkeeping is one of the largest line items in the budget - paid to outside consultants who spend hours on transaction categorization and month-end reconciliation. Every AI agents automate both. The transaction categorizing agent and month-end reconciliation agent handle the time-consuming work that used to require a dedicated bookkeeper, continuously learning the patterns of your business to become more accurate over time. AI CHRO: Your Compliance Co-Pilot for Every People Decision HR compliance is where small businesses get into trouble - not from bad intentions, but from a lack of information. Every AI CHRO monitors every person's decision in real time: hiring, terminations, time off, and benefits changes. Rather than doing the work for you, it checks your work - scanning thousands of current regulations and flagging risks before they become liabilities. It's the compliance safety net every growing company needs. One Platform, Full Context: The Every Difference AI tools are only as good as the data they can see. Point solutions, a standalone payroll tool, a separate accounting app, a disconnected HR system - give AI a fragmented view of your business. Every is different. The AI CFO understands your burn. The AI CHRO understands your team. Together, they deliver the kind of integrated operational intelligence that was once available only to companies with dedicated finance, HR, and legal departments - and they get smarter with every transaction, every hire, and every decision your business makes. Expert Guidance When You Need It Most Every doesn't just automate - it advises. From onboarding new employees to navigating compliance requirements, Every's AI guides decision-making at every step. When a question goes beyond what AI can handle, Every's human experts step in directly.
