Explorance Metrics That Matter introduces skill intelligence to help close skills gaps through enterprise learning.

Explorance Metrics That Matter introduces skill intelligence to help close skills gaps through enterprise learning. Sep 28, 2026, 12:50 ET New Release Connects Courses to Skills, Captures Learner Perspectives, and Delivers Actionable Skills Reporting CHICAGO, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Explorance, a leading provider of learning measurement and feedback solutions, announced today the release of Metrics That Matter (MTM) 10.0, a major platform update designed to help learning and development teams prove their training programs are closing organizational skills gaps. As organizations increasingly prioritize workforce skills development, L&D teams need clearer ways to understand which capabilities their learning programs are designed to develop, and whether learners believe they gained them. MTM addresses this need by enabling organizations to build structured skills taxonomies, map courses to the skills they develop, capture learner-reported skills data, and turn that information into actionable insights. "With MTM 10.0, we're executing on our vision to empower L&D leaders and teams to build critical skills, show business value, and make smarter investments that support their organization's strategic objectives," said Steve Lange, General Manager of Explorance Metrics That Matter. "The shift toward skills-based measurement isn't just about adding capabilities to a platform, it's about giving learning teams the tools they need to prove their programs are developing the competencies their organizations depend on." Connecting Learning to Skills at Scale MTM 10.0 introduces comprehensive skills measurement capabilities that allow organizations to: * Build structured skills taxonomies with Skills and Skill Categories, including 30 standard benchmarkable categories * Map courses to skills to directly associate learning experiences with the competencies they develop * Manage skills at scale through bulk Excel-based administration of skills and course mappings * Capture learner perspectives with a new Skills question type that automatically pulls from course-mapped skills * Analyze skills data through new dashboard widgets showing top skills by course, top courses by skill, and learner response patterns * Export skills data via Data Extract for deeper analysis across the organization "Measuring skills is critical because it's the bridge between learning activity and business impact, said Michael Rochelle, Chief Strategy Officer and Principal Analyst, Brandon Hall Group. "When L&D leaders can demonstrate which capabilities their programs are building, they can show how learning directly supports workforce performance and strategic business objectives. This is how learning organizations transform from cost centers into strategic partners that drive organizational success." From Activity Measurement to Skills Impact The release marks a fundamental shift from measuring learning activity, participation, completion, and satisfaction to understanding how learning builds the capabilities organizations need. Availability MTM 10.0 is available now to all Explorance MTM customers. Explorance Blue 9.8: built around customer needs, designed for better feedback.

Explorance Blue 9.8: built around customer needs, designed for better feedback. Blue 9.8 shows what can happen when customer ideas have a direct path to product improvement. At Explorance World 2026, customers had the opportunity to do more than share feedback. Through World of Ideas, customers pitched ideas for how Explorance Blue could better support their needs and day-to-day workflows. Several ideas made it through the World of Ideas process, with the first now available in Blue 9.8. From easier access to respondent data to greater control over who can submit responses, these enhancements address real-world challenges in managing feedback. The release also introduces additional improvements across integrations, analytics, reporting, multilingual experiences, and product stability. "The strongest products are built in partnership with the people who use them. Customer feedback plays an essential role in helping the Blue product team understand what matters most, particularly when it comes to improving response rates and giving customers greater visibility into participation. It helps us identify opportunities to improve and turn ideas into meaningful product experiences." - Product Management Team World of Ideas was created to give customers a direct voice in the future of Blue. Their ideas highlighted practical challenges they encounter when managing evaluations, monitoring responses, and working with data. Sometimes, knowing who responded matters just as much as knowing how they responded. For example, an instructor may want to identify students who completed a course evaluation and award extra course credit for their participation. To support these workflows, Blue 9.8 adds CSV and Excel export options for respondent lists in Subject Management. Users can now export respondent lists directly from the View Respondents area, making it easier to work with respondent data outside Blue and support processes such as participation tracking, additional analysis, or sharing information with the appropriate stakeholders. The release also introduces other product improvements developed as part of Blue's ongoing roadmap, with enhancements across integrations, analytics, reporting, and the overall Blue experience. Public surveys make it easy to collect feedback through QR codes and other shared links, but some feedback initiatives are intended only for members of an institution. For example, a university may post a QR code around campus to collect general experience feedback while ensuring that only students, instructors, or other members of the university community can participate. Blue 9.8 introduces Require Authentication for Public Project Fillout, giving project owners the option to require users to authenticate before submitting a response. When enabled, anonymous access is no longer available, so respondents must log in before completing the survey. For organizations working across English, French, German, Arabic, and Japanese, maintaining a consistent experience in the language of choice is essential. Blue 9.8 helps ensure that report language and translated comments remain aligned, so users can engage with feedback in a consistent, familiar experience. Blue 9.8 enhances the MLY analysis translation experience so that report output and translated comments can better align with the user's selected language. With this enhancement, Blue provides a more consistent language experience for MLY-enabled reports, helping bilingual teams and stakeholders review qualitative insights with greater clarity and confidence. Bring These Improvements to Your Blue Experience Blue 9.8 brings customer-driven improvements and product enhancements together to make Blue more practical, connected, and easier to use. Schedule your upgrade to Blue 9.8 to take advantage of the latest features, improvements, and fixes, and continue getting the most from your Blue experience.

Citylogix appoints Alexis Tremblay as Head of AI.

Citylogix appoints Alexis Tremblay as Head of AI. Accelerating the move from condition assessment into connected-vehicle data fusion, AI-driven work planning and language-model access to municipal assets. Alexis has spent his career turning research into systems that ship and building the teams that keep them running. That is exactly what this phase demands." - Jon-Erik Dillon, CEO WAKEFIELD, MA, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ - Citylogix, whose asset intelligence platform serves more than 500 public works agencies across North America, has named Alexis Tremblay as Head of AI. The appointment marks the next phase of the company's platform strategy: continuously sensed infrastructure data, AI that plans and schedules the work, and plain-language access to everything an agency owns. Tremblay will lead applied machine learning and AI model development across the platform, working within the technology organization led by Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Lapierre. His mandate runs on three fronts. The first is data fusion: combining high-resolution survey data with continuous signals from connected vehicles, so agencies see how condition is changing between scans instead of once every several years. The second is decision automation: models that convert condition, cost, and constraint data into defensible work plans, schedules, and crew assignments rather than reports that still need a human to interpret them. The third is breadth: extending Citylogix's AI beyond pavement and sidewalks across the full municipal asset base, from signs and signals to drainage, facilities, and fleet. Large language models cut across all three. Citylogix intends for a public works director to be able to ask a question of their entire asset portfolio in plain English and get an answer grounded in their own data, with the reasoning and the source records attached. Tremblay joins from Explorance, where he spent more than eight years, the last six as Director of AI/Machine Learning. As the company's first machine learning hire, he built and led a 30-person AI organization spanning research, MLOps, DataOps, and annotation, setting AI strategy and organizational design while remaining hands-on in development. His technical focus in recent years has centered on deep learning and natural language processing, spanning transformer architectures and graph neural networks - the same model families now underpinning Citylogix's roadmap. His earlier career includes predictive modeling of real-time consumer behavior at Datacratic and work on a natural language question-answering system at SAP. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in artificial intelligence from Université de Montréal. CEO Jon-Erik Dillon said: "Public works teams are drowning in data and starving for decisions. The next decade in this industry won't be won on better inspection. It'll be won by whoever can take a city's entire asset base and turn it into a plan its council will actually fund. Alexis has spent his career turning research into systems that ship and building the teams that keep them running. That is exactly what this phase demands." Tremblay added: "What drew me to Citylogix is the directness of the problem. The models we build feed decisions about real streets, real budgets, and the crews who do the work. There's a short line between the work and its effect, and that's a good place to do applied AI. It's also a wide-open one - very little of what's now possible with sensing and language models has reached the agencies that manage the infrastructure everyone depends on." About Citylogix Citylogix is a municipal infrastructure technology company serving more than 500 public works agencies across the United States and Canada. Its AI-powered asset intelligence platform spans data collection, condition assessment, and enterprise asset management, giving agencies a single system to understand what they own, what condition it's in, and what to do next. Complementing this forward-looking vision, Michael Rochelle, Chief Strategy Officer at Brandon Hall Group, delivered a keynote titled "Performance or Irrelevance: The Moment of Truth for L&D and Talent." Rochelle underscored the urgent challenge L&D leaders face to clearly demonstrate the impact of learning on business outcomes, warning that learning functions must transform from activity reporting to strategic business drivers or risk irrelevance. His insights emphasized the growing expectations for CLOs to demonstrate ROI, influence strategy, and contribute measurably to organizational success. "They embody the integration of data-driven insight, strategic influence, and measurable impact that the business is asking for."
