Pinellas County, FL - October 13, 2025 - FCC Environmental Services (FCC), a leading provider of environmental, waste, and recycling solutions across seven U.S. states, proudly announces its selection by Pinellas County to operate and maintain the County's Waste-to-Energy (WtE) Facility under a new 10-year, $704.6 million Operations & Maintenance contract. The transition process will begin November 1, 2025, with FCC officially assuming full operations on January 1, 2026. This partnership marks a major step forward in strengthening Pinellas County's commitment to sustainable waste management and advancing Florida's renewable energy initiatives. The contract will also add 77 employees to the FCC Environmental Services team, expanding the company's workforce and local economic impact.
