Overview

FIR an der RWTH Aachen is a cross-industry research and training institute at RWTH Aachen University that focuses on organizational design and corporate IT to help create digitally networked companies. It conducts research and transfers solutions in real-world industry use cases such as Future Logistics, Smart Services/Maintenance, Smart Buildings, and Smart Mobility. It supports companies by researching, qualifying, and teaching in service management, information management, and production management, working with industry experts in a rigorous experimental research infrastructure. As a member of the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations, its goal is to provide practical, scientifically grounded knowledge and tools to help organizations transform and stay competitive in a digital economy.
