Fairmount Park Casino & Racing has invested nearly $3 million and hired 35 new employees to introduce live table games to its casino floor. Illinois' only racino, which combines live horse racing and casino gaming, previously featured only electronic table games and slot machines following a 2025 remodel. The new additions include blackjack, poker, mini baccarat and roulette tables, aiming to deliver a more authentic casino experience. General Manager Vince Gabbert said the expansion supports the facility's goal of becoming a destination for locals and tourists within a five to six-hour radius. Casino revenue supports larger purses for horse races, attracting more trainers and horses to compete at Fairmount Park. The facility is currently in racing season through 27 October.
