In brilliant color, Frida breathes new life, love, and expression into Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. 16/10/2026 By Patty Consolazio One of the magical things about film is its ability to bring to life the times, places, and people we would never otherwise experience. Though born over 100 years ago, renowned Mexican painter Frida Kahlo speaks so candidly, sharing her pain and passion, her body and soul, thanks to the masterful re-creation of her life story by Sundance Institute alum Carla Guti rrez and the crew of Frida, which premiered on January 18 at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. Documentary Competition. I've lived with this story for a long time, said Guti rrez in her post-premiere Q&A session, regarding her colleague's suggestion to do a film on Kahlo. I immediately went back to the books I read 20 years ago and I realized within two hours, there's a lot of her words, so she can tell a lot of her story, and I haven't seen a film really focus on her voice as we could do it. Guti rrez's team did their research and came up with much more than they'd ever expected. 05/01/2027. Worlds first 802.15.4ab-UWB chip verified by Calterah and Rohde & Schwarz to be... 16/10/2026. FloSports adds NLL's global streaming rights, creates dedicated FloLacrosse channel. 10.15.2026 FloSports has secured global streaming rights for the National Lacrosse League in a multiyear deal that will also see the platform launch a dedicated FloLacrosse channel starting Nov. 5. That will be the company's first new channel since the launch of FloCollege in 2024. The NLL deal comes ahead of the indoor league's 40th anniversary season and will include game previews, highlights and wrap-ups to complement the live coverage in a dedicated content hub. The league used Octagon as a media rights advisor, with NLL Commissioner Brett Frood and EVP/Broadcast & Media Joel Feld intimately involved. FloSports EVP/Global Rights Acquisition Phil Wendler led the platform's negotiations. The NLL was previously on ESPN in the U.S. There also remains the opportunity for a future linear NLL TV deal in the U.S. In Canada, incumbent linear partner TSN will remain in the fold with a game of the week and playoff coverage. "FloSports is launching FloLacrosse with the NLL and box lacrosse as its foundation, investing every day in the stories and players who turn new viewers into lifelong fans. It's a partner that respects our roots and believes in our future as much as we do," said Frood. FloSports will also look to take advantage of its FAST channel, and will stream an "NLL Saturday Showcase" game, as well as the 2027 NLL Finals, on the FloSports Channel, which can be found on found on Prime Video, YouTube and LG Channels. For FloSports, it's the latest league win after striking a deal a few weeks ago to become part of the mix for the NHRA starting in 2027. The company also got deeper into hockey over the summer, getting U.S. rights to the IIHF Men's World Championship beginning in 2027. "We're not trying to go in and compete with folks for Tier 1 rights, because the bigger players in the world do a tremendous job," said Wendler. "But there's a lot of non-Tier 1 partners that just aren't getting the love they deserve." Building out a sport Lacrosse isn't new to FloSports, which recently celebrated its 20th year of operation. The platform aired over 1,500 games last year, and is pacing for close to 2,000 this year. Those games over-indexed on the platform, and that gave the company the confidence to launch the new dedicated vertical. FloLacrosse will now offer a mix of pro, college, high school and amateur events. "Because with our investment with NLL, if it doesn't grow, we are not going to be successful," said Wendler. "We're putting our money where our mouth is, we're putting our resources where our mouth is and we're going to build a whole portfolio around it to grow around that."

With the launch of 'Master Control Room,' FloSports transforms its live streaming capabilities, enabling real-time monitoring and significant operational savings. Discover how AI is reshaping live event production. Key facts. * AI dashboard reduced incident-response time by 75%, enhancing operational efficiency significantly. * Custom-built tools save over $100,000 annually, showcasing cost-effective innovation in production. * Rapid iteration capabilities enable quick feature updates, improving competitive positioning in streaming. * AI tools allow scaling without proportional staffing increases, addressing operational vulnerabilities effectively. * Proprietary highlight clipping tool reduces social media publishing time from 10 mins to under 45 secs. Summary. FloSports, a streaming sports company, faced challenges in managing a vast number of live events and streams, leading to operational inefficiencies. They developed the "Master Control Room," an AI-powered dashboard that centralizes monitoring and significantly reduces incident-response time. This solution has resulted in a 75% reduction in response time and over $100,000 in annual savings. Background. FloSports operates in the sports streaming industry and is on track to deliver approximately 55,000 live events this year across around 400 rights deals. Before deploying their AI solution, the company struggled to monitor multiple live streams effectively, relying on operators to manually check each stream for issues. Challenge. The primary challenge was the difficulty of monitoring numerous simultaneous live streams, which often experienced technical problems that traditional analytics could not easily identify. This manual oversight was becoming increasingly cumbersome and costly. Solution. FloSports implemented the "Master Control Room," a centralized dashboard that provides operators with a grid view of live streams, complete with health information, audio meters, and telemetry. Built by a two-person team using Claude, the dashboard allows operators to quickly identify issues, filter views, and compare different data streams without needing to check each one individually. Results. The deployment of the Master Control Room has led to a 75% reduction in incident-response time and has contributed to over $100,000 in annual savings. The dashboard has become fully integrated into the StreamOps workflow within months of its launch. Key insights. AI-assisted development can provide tailored solutions that meet specific operational needs, reducing reliance on expensive third-party software. Rapid iteration and employee empowerment in using AI tools can lead to significant efficiency gains and cost savings. Customer testimonial.
