Flock launches Jay.

Flock launches Jay. Commercial fleet insurance provider Flock Limited has launched Jay, an agentic AI solution for fleet managers. The new product can provide "sophisticated analysis," identify risks, and point to actions that will improve fleet performance. Fleet managers can ask Jay a variety of questions about vehicles needing attention, safety score, and coverage. Flock was acquired by Admiral Group earlier this year. "Every fleet has daily questions about risk, policies, vehicles and claims - but many teams don't have the time or the tools to answer them. For the first time in UK fleet insurance, every customer now has their own expert: someone that knows their fleet inside out, works around the clock, analyses billions of data points on their behalf, and partners with them to help their fleet run well. We believe this is the future of insurance: getting ahead of the problem, and helping customers prevent accidents before they even happen. And we haven't stopped at end-customers - every broker who places business with us now gets the same tool for every fleet on their book as well." - Ed Leon Klinger, CEO of Flock. Admiral Group seals £80m Flock swoop.

Admiral Group seals £80m Flock swoop. Flock's telemetry solution rewards safe driving for connected vehicle fleets and will now be made available to many more drivers Admiral Group has completed its £80 million acquisition of London InsurTech Flock. Flock, which has raised over £40m from leading VC investors including Octopus Ventures, Commerz Ventures, Chamath Palihapitiya (Social Capital) and Anthemis Ventures, has revolutionised motor fleet insurance through its fully digital platform. It uses AI-driven risk models trained on hundreds of millions of miles of real-world driving data to reward commercial motor customers who have demonstrated improved safety throughout the lifetime of a policy. Flock provides insurance for hundreds of connected vehicle fleets which receive personalised, real-time safety guidance and recommendations based on live driving patterns. Admiral's UK insurance business insures almost six million motorists and already offers discounted premiums for good driving practice. Admiral Pioneer, the group's venture building business, first partnered with Flock in 2024, giving it early insight into the strength of the firm's proposition. Since the deal was announced in February, Flock has entered the haulage market, onboarding 20 customers, and also reduced the minimum fleet size for taxi insurance customers from 25+ to 5+ vehicles, opening the market to thousands of smaller operators across the UK. "Our mission has always been to make the world quantifiably safer," said Ed Leon Klinger, CEO of Flock. "Being part of Admiral means we can pursue that across a much bigger share of the UK motor market. "Combining Flock's AI-powered platform with Admiral's scale and expertise is something we have been hugely looking forward to. I couldn't think of a better home for what we've built". Flock will become Admiral's telemetry fleet insurance proposition. Klinger will join Admiral Pioneer's leadership team. GP Bullhound acted as exclusive financial advisor and Clifford Chance as legal advisor to Admiral Group in connection with the transaction. Continuum acted as exclusive financial advisor and Osborne Clarke as legal advisor to Flock.

Flock launches haulage fleet insurance with Admiral.

Flock launches haulage fleet insurance with Admiral. Tuesday, April 14, 2026 - 07:49 Flock has unveiled a new haulage fleet insurance product in partnership with Admiral, marking its first major expansion into additional commercial motor segments in 2026. The launch represents a significant step for Flock as it brings its connected insurance model to one of the UK's most important commercial vehicle sectors. By applying a data-led approach, the company aims to help fleet operators better understand, manage and reduce risk on the road. The new offering combines Flock's safety-focused model with Admiral's established underwriting and claims expertise. Flock has already rolled out its model across a range of commercial fleet segments, including courier, trades, taxi and rental markets. In these areas, the company reports measurable improvements in claims performance, reinforcing the effectiveness of its preventative, data-driven strategy. Fleets enrolled in Flock's risk management programme have experienced a 10% reduction in claims frequency. This has translated into fewer vehicles off the road, alongside lower costs associated with repairs, maintenance and claims handling - key concerns for operators working within tight margins. The UK haulage sector remains a cornerstone of the national economy, contributing £13.5 billion annually. In 2024 alone, more than 600,000 heavy goods vehicles transported 1.6 billion tonnes of goods across the country. With telematics already widely adopted, the sector is well positioned to benefit from Flock's connected insurance approach. Ed Leon Klinger, CEO of Flock, said: "Flock's mission is to make the world quantifiably safer; Fleetpoint Media Ltd aim to prevent claims before they even happen. Fleetpoint Media Ltd is using driving data to price risk more accurately, working directly with fleet operators to reduce crashes, and financially rewarding safer fleets with lower premiums. This launch, in partnership with Admiral, brings Flock's unique model into the haulage market with an unparalleled level of claims expertise. Fleetpoint Media Ltd look forward to the upcoming completion of Admiral's acquisition of Flock." Demand for smarter, data-driven insurance solutions in haulage has been building, driven by rising operational costs, increasing pressure on margins and the need for improved risk visibility. Brokers and operators have actively sought access to Flock's model, and the company has already bound a number of haulage risks, signalling strong early interest. With Admiral's backing, Flock is now positioned to scale its offering and meet growing demand, bringing its connected insurance model to haulage fleets across the UK. Emma Huntington, CEO of Admiral Pioneer, said: "Haulage fleets play a vital role in keeping the UK economy moving, connecting businesses, communities and supply chains every single day, and Fleetpoint Media Ltd see a clear opportunity to help them better understand and manage risk on the road. Flock's model is also built to prevent risk day to day, not just when something goes wrong. By combining this with Admiral's underwriting and claims expertise, Fleetpoint Media Ltd believe Fleetpoint Media Ltd can drive meaningful change across the sector." At the core of the proposition is the Flock Portal, a self-service digital platform designed to give fleet managers full visibility and control over their operations. The portal provides access to telematics insights, including driving behaviour, risk trends and claims performance, while also enabling operators to add or remove vehicles from cover as their fleets evolve. This digital capability is supported by tailored sessions with Flock's risk management team, focused on improving driver performance and helping fleets earn back up to 10% of their premium through Flock's rebate programme. The new haulage fleet insurance product is available immediately to UK operators and brokers, offering a timely solution for an industry seeking greater efficiency, safety and cost control.
