Italian startup Alomana has raised €4 million in a round led by CDP Venture Capital to develop Alo, an AI operating layer for enterprise workflows. The platform enables organisations to run autonomous AI across data, applications and code, moving beyond prompt-based assistance to executable workflows. Alo has been deployed in finance, manufacturing and pharma sectors over the past year, handling risk controls, financial operations and data analysis whilst delivering measurable EBITDA gains. The platform can perform advanced analysis on millions of database tables and generate full-stack applications in minutes. Founded by a team with experience from Bloomberg, the European Central Bank, BCG and NASA, Alomana will use the funding to expand enterprise deployments globally. Additional investors include Italia Venture II, Founders Factory and Kairos Ventures ESG One.

This new programme boosts Northwestern Medicine's strategy to embrace innovations that advance new models of patient care, supercharge research and deliver operational efficiencies. AI-enabled technologies are instrumental to improving healthcare. From detection and chronic disease management to treatment optimism, systems-wide change and expediting research, AI delivers far-reaching benefits across health systems. For example, in oncology over 40% of AI-discovered drugs rely on AI-assisted trial platforms in early-stage development[1], while industry reports suggest that clinical AI could help prevent around 250,000 deaths globally by 2030. The program will focus on helping the selected startups to test, deploy and scale their solutions with Northwestern Medicine and its ecosystem of partners, driving opportunity in the world's largest healthcare market.
