Fruition has launched a PDF accessibility platform to help US state and local governments meet the 24 April 2026 federal ADA compliance deadline. The platform enables government agencies to remediate public-facing documents to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards required under the Department of Justice's Title II rule. The solution offers two remediation phases: structural remediation for baseline compliance and full AI-powered remediation using GPT-4o and Claude for image alt text and semantic content tagging. The platform integrates via REST API into existing document management workflows. Under the DOJ rule, governments serving populations of 50,000 or more must ensure actively used documents meet accessibility standards by April 2026.
