Fundrise provides a direct-to-consumer platform for private market investments, mainly in real estate, with options including eREITs, eFunds, and a private tech venture fund. Investors access these funds through Reg A+-based offerings with low minimums and select plans that determine allocations across the funds, and they can also invest in Rise Companies Corp. via an iPO. The platform pools capital and manages the underlying assets, charging asset-management and advisory fees. Its goal is to broaden access to private markets for retail investors, diversify portfolios across income, growth, and venture exposure, and reduce the barriers to real estate and private equity investment.

Senior Software Engineer. About the job: Fundrise is a financial technology company on a mission to build a better financial system for the individual. With more than 2 million users and over $3 billion in assets under management, we are the largest direct-to-investor alternative asset platform in the United States, making institutional-quality real estate, private credit, and venture capital investments accessible to anyone. Through the software we build, we are democratizing the private investment industry. We continue to push into new territory: our Innovation Fund (VCX) recently listed on the NYSE as one of the first public venture capital funds, and our AI subsidiary, RealAI, is bringing institutional-grade real estate intelligence to everyday investors and professionals. Fundrise has been recognized by CNBC's World's Top Fintech Companies (2024, 2025) and the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for three consecutive years (2023-2025). While this is a fully remote role, candidates in the Washington, D.C. metro area are strongly preferred. Proximity to our team and business partners helps support in-person collaboration when needed. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help evolve our investment screening and fraud prevention platform. You'll work at the intersection of compliance, risk, and automation, building systems that make accurate, reliable screening decisions at scale, informed by years of operational knowledge and real-world screening outcomes. This is not a role with perfectly defined inputs and outputs: success requires strong judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to turn nuanced operational and compliance requirements into effective software. You will collaborate closely with partners across Operations, Legal, Product, and Finance to understand requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and deliver solutions that strengthen both user experience and risk controls. This is a high-impact role where your work directly protects millions of users and shapes how we scale trust across the platform. Who you are. You're motivated by solving real problems, not by chasing the newest framework or forcing a particular architecture. You make pragmatic technology choices that fit the problem and the business needs. You bring strong judgment and clear opinions, but you're open to other ideas and are willing to be convinced your idea may not be the right one. You advocate for the best path with conviction, but once a direction is set, you align with the team and help make it successful, even when it wasn't your first choice. You see evolving and refactoring an established, high-stakes codebase as a meaningful engineering challenge. You don't need a greenfield to do great work. You see close partnership with Legal, Finance, and Operations as an essential part of the engineering work, not a distraction from it. You'd rather ship a practical solution that works than over-engineer one that looks impressive on a whiteboard. Candidates motivated primarily by novelty in tools or architecture, rather than by delivering reliable systems that meet business needs, are unlikely to be a fit. Responsibilities. * Design and build practical enhancements to our investment screening and fraud prevention platform, including decisioning systems and integrations with third-party data providers * Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and production support * Make pragmatic tradeoffs and incorporate stakeholder feedback to deliver reliable, compliant solutions without unnecessary complexity * Maintain, monitor, and improve systems and infrastructure deployed on AWS * Partner closely with Operations, Legal, Product, and Finance to translate screening and compliance requirements into effective software solutions * Review pull requests and contribute to a culture of high-quality, maintainable, and pragmatic engineering Minimum qualifications. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience * 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in Java, Spring, and Hibernate * 4+ years of experience building and maintaining production applications on AWS, including services such as EC2, ECS, CDK, S3, SQS, Lambda, and DynamoDB. * 3+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases, where transactions and throughput were critical to operations * Experience making significant contributions to designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance * Experience improving existing systems and workflows in operationally complex environments, not just building greenfield systems from scratch * Experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI in day-to-day development workflows * Demonstrated track record of effective communication and collaboration with business stakeholders * Ability to quickly absorb and understand large and complex new domains and workflows Preferred qualifications. * Experience in fintech, fraud detection, risk, compliance, or a similarly regulated domain * Experience integrating with third-party identity verification, KYC/AML, or financial data providers Benefits at Fundrise. * Remote-first work environment (must live in the United States) * Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance- Fundrise contributes to both employee and dependent premiums * Flexible Spending Accounts for medical expenses, dependent care, and parking * 401(k) with 3% contributed by Fundrise, regardless of whether you are actively contributing yourself * Fully covered life insurance and short-term disability * Significant equity via our employee stock grant program * Gympass benefit including mental health resources * Flexible PTO * Employee Assistance Program * Paid parental leave * Region - North America * Compensation - $153K - $183K USD/Year Salary Posted | * Category - Back-End Programming * Applicants - 22 Company benefits. | Please let Fundrise know you found this opening on Remote Army, with your support we can keep providing you with fresh quality remote jobs. Tokenized platform xStocks brings new private shares fund on-chain. 1 hour ago The closed-end Fundrise Innovation Fund holds stakes in private technology companies including Anthropic, Databricks and SpaceX, and came public earlier this month. Cointelegraph in your social feed Tokenized equities framework xStocks has teamed with alternative investment platform Fundrise to bring onchain the newly public Fundrise Innovation Fund, expanding late-stage private market companies exposure. The single tokenized asset VCXx is expected to go live on the xStocks platform in the coming days, according to a Friday announcement. The move to bring Fundrise onchain comes just days after the closed-end fund began trading on the New York Stock Exchange with its portfolio that includes private shares of tech companies including Anthropic, Databricks and SpaceX. Early days trading saw the stock surge from its March 19 $31 debut price to as high as $575 per share. However, a critical report by short seller Citron Research on Thursday which said Fundrise Advisors LLC faced SEC charges in 2023 over paid solicitation activities. Citron called on regulators to examine whether the firm is currently compensating influencers to promote VCX. The shares ended the week at $173, down almost 34% on Friday, before shedding another 5.9% in after-hours activity. Fundrise Innovation Fund co-founder and CEO Ben Miller told CNBC on Friday that critics were mounting an unfounded smear campaign and defended the fund's strategy and its effort to expand access to private tech companies. Tokenized stocks top $1B in total value onchain. Tokenized stocks pushed past $1 billion in total value onchain earlier this month as investor interest grows in the fast-growing real-world asset (RWA) sector. Data from RWA.xyz shows the value of tokenized equities climbing past the $1 billion mark, as platforms offering blockchain-based exposure to traditional stocks attract more investor trading and liquidity. To be sure, much of that activity is concentrated among a small number of operators. RWA.xyz data shows that Ondo holds about 58% of the market, while tokenized stock products issued under the xStocks platform account for roughly 24%, forming an early duopoly in the sector. Foresight Ventures in a March 10 report posited that the market is consolidating around these early leaders, citing regulatory barriers, liquidity advantages and differing tokenization models as key factors shaping competition in the sector.

xStocks and Fundrise partner to tokenize VCX fund, unlocking onchain exposure to leading private tech companies. 4 minutes read New VCXx xStock enables global investors to gain tokenized exposure to late-stage private companies, including SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic and Databricks, through a single onchain asset ST. HELIER, Jersey-(BUSINESS WIRE)-xStocks, the leading tokenized equities framework powered by Payward, today announced a partnership with Fundrise, the largest direct-to-consumer alternative investment platform in the U.S., to tokenize its newly launched Fundrise Innovation Fund (NYSE: VCX). The partnership brings onchain access to a diversified portfolio of high-growth private technology companies, including SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Databricks, through a single tokenized asset, the VCXx asset. The VCX fund, which debuted publicly last week and has already seen strong early demand, represents one of the most compelling new avenues for accessing late-stage private markets. By bringing VCX onchain, xStocks and Fundrise are extending tokenized equities beyond public markets and into private company exposure, one of the most sought-after and historically inaccessible segments of the market. "VCX is more than a public listing. By tokenizing this public venture fund, we are opening access for eligible investors around the world to gain exposure not only to a public vehicle, but to a portfolio with private exposure to some of the top companies in the world," said Arjun Sethi, Co-CEO of Payward. xStocks has rapidly emerged as the largest provider of tokenized equities, with over $25 billion in combined transaction volume and more than 100,000 unique holders globally. The platform currently supports over 100 tokenized stocks and ETFs, and is built to be multi-chain and interoperable by design, enabling assets to move seamlessly across wallets, protocols, and trading venues. The addition of the VCX fund introduces a new category within the xStocks ecosystem, expanding beyond public equities to include tokenized access to private market portfolios onchain. "We built VCX to act as a bridge between the public and private markets," said Ben Miller, CEO of Fundrise. "We believe all individual investors should be able to own a piece of the best private technology companies in the world. We have long admired Kraken's approach to breaking down barriers to the best investments and are excited to see them continue to grow their innovative xStocks platform." Traditionally, access to late-stage private companies has been limited to institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals, often requiring significant capital commitments and long lock-up periods. By tokenizing VCX, xStocks and Fundrise are introducing a new investing model, where diversified private market exposure can be accessed, transferred, and integrated into onchain financial applications with the same flexibility as any other digital asset. The launch comes amid accelerating institutional momentum around tokenized equities. Payward, the parent company of xStocks, recently announced a partnership with Nasdaq to explore next-generation infrastructure connecting traditional equity markets with onchain systems, further bridging the gap between regulated financial markets and decentralized finance. As a tokenized asset, VCX will integrate seamlessly across the xStocks ecosystem, unlocking use cases beyond simple exposure - including collateralization, lending, and integration into automated onchain strategies. The tokenized VCX fund is expected to go live on xStocks, listed as VCXx, in the coming days. What are xStocks announcing today? * xStocks is partnering with Fundrise to tokenize its VCX fund, creating a new onchain asset called VCXx. * This allows global investors to gain exposure to a portfolio of leading private tech companies, including SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, Databricks and others, through a single tokenized asset. Why does this matter? * This is one of the first times investors across the world can access diversified private company exposure onchain. * It also expands tokenized equities beyond public stocks into private markets, making previously hard-to-access opportunities more accessible, liquid, and usable within DeFi. It's a key step toward fully onchain capital markets. xStocks have not been registered under the United States Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or any U.S. state securities laws. xStocks are not available in the United States or to U.S. persons and may not be offered, sold or delivered, directly or indirectly, in the United States or to U.S. persons.
