MassINC announces the 2026-2028 Greg Torres Senior Fellows. April 9, 2026 We are pleased to introduce the 2026-2028 Greg Torres Senior Fellows, a new cohort of leaders from across sectors who will partner with MassINC to advance research, policy leadership, convening, journalism, and public-facing storytelling that strengthens civic dialogue in Massachusetts. Over the next two years, Fellows will work alongside our teams to explore new ideas, convene partners, and elevate solutions to the Commonwealth's most pressing challenges. Meet the 2026-2028 Greg Torres Senior Fellows: * Lezlie Braxton Campbell, Deputy Director of Neighbor to Neighbor, will focus on civic participation and leadership development in Gateway Cities. * John Grossman, Senior Fellow, Third Sector Capital Partners, will explore social investing and impact. * Lisa Lazare, Executive Director, Educators for Excellence Massachusetts, will focus on educator quality and reading standards implementation. * Jonathan Lee Cozzens, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Lee Properties, will develop a policy and finance framework to accelerate housing and mixed-use development in Gateway Cities. * Phillip Martin, Former Senior Investigative Reporter, GBH, will produce a podcast series for CommonWealth Beacon on political power in Massachusetts' communities of color. * Stephanie Pollack, Former Secretary of Transportation, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, will examine the relationship between municipal home rule authority and local willingness to approve housing and development, and explore policy changes that could forge a new "partnership for prosperity" between the Commonwealth and its cities and towns. The Greg Torres Senior Fellows Program, established in 2024, honors our former CEO and Board Chair Greg Torres. His leadership helped shape MassINC's commitment to pragmatic policy solutions, independent journalism, and data-driven polling that strengthens civic life in Massachusetts. We look forward to working with this new cohort and sharing their ideas, insights, and contributions in the months ahead. Stay tuned for upcoming events and opportunities to engage with the Fellows' work.
