Overview
GESS is an international, not-for-profit school established in 1971 that serves about 1,900 students from over 70 nationalities, ages 18 months to 18 years. It offers two main curricula—the English-speaking International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme and the German Curriculum—along with more than 150 co-curricular activities and a BeyondClassrooms Programme that provides real-world experiences. The school’s campus was designed with input from students and teachers and operates as a private school association led by an elected committee and management, with PEI registration S72SS0010G (2023–2029). The goal is to develop confident, forward-looking students by celebrating the values of respect, openness, and diversity. In short, GESS delivers a dual-curriculum international education with extensive extracurriculars in a community-governed, not-for-profit setting.
