Gallatin AI has been awarded a contract under the US Army's PORTAL Direct to Phase II SBIR programme to develop its Navigator platform for military logistics planning. The 18-month effort will deliver a prototype using machine learning and optimisation algorithms to help Army units operating in contested environments. Navigator provides predictive demand forecasting, generates constraint-validated logistics plans in seconds, and analyses multiple courses of action to help sustainment planners overcome enemy interdiction and route denial. The platform runs natively within Maven Smart System and integrates with Army systems through secure APIs. Founded in 2024, Gallatin AI is backed by 8VC, Silent Ventures and Moonshots Capital. The company has developed Navigator to commercial standards before adapting it for military requirements, aiming to accelerate delivery whilst reducing risk for warfighters.

Gallatin AI, a defence logistics software company, has opened an Austin, Texas office to position its engineering and delivery teams closer to Army installations and commands. The new location is the company's third, following El Segundo, California and Washington, DC. Texas hosts more military installations than any US state, including Fort Hood, Joint Base San Antonio and Fort Bliss. The Austin office will support proximity to the Army's Transformation and Training Command, headquartered in the city. Founded in 2024 and backed by 8VC, Gallatin develops decision support software for military logistics. Its flagship platform, Navigator, reduces distribution planning time from hours to seconds for Brigade Combat Teams managing fuel, ammunition and repair parts. The company plans to hire across software, AI/ML and delivery roles.
