Gendo

Gendo

AI design-to-image tool for architectural visualization

Overview

Gendo provides a browser-based AI-assisted toolset for architectural visualization. It converts user-uploaded design images (like PNGs/JPGs) into high-quality CGI in minutes and offers design-to-image, generative editing, and text-to-image capabilities for detailed visual customization (materials, lighting, era-specific furniture, and culturally appropriate figures). Users interact by uploading designs and using adjustable parameters to generate visuals, all through a subscription model with free, individual, professional, and team plans. This combination lets architects and designers rapidly iterate on visuals and create compelling client-ready presentations. Unlike broader rendering tools, Gendo focuses on AI-driven visualization tailored to architectural needs and provides an accessible, scalable platform from solo practitioners to firms. The goal is to speed up the design process and help professionals produce convincing visuals for clients.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • August 2026 released material scale, rotation, annotations, and a creativity slider.
  • Gendo added four July 2026 case studies and a consistency workshop.
  • Unlimited rendering in February 2026 reduces friction and encourages heavier studio usage.

What critics are saying

  • Veras, D5 Render, Midjourney, and LookX compress Gendo’s pricing power in 2026.
  • Figma and Miro own design reviews, while Gendo must justify switching costs fast.
  • If GPT-5, Gemini, or ComfyUI workflows improve, Gendo loses its architecture niche by 2027.

What makes Gendo unique

  • Gendo’s August 2026 Canvas unifies rendering, iteration, comments, and history for architects.
  • June 2026 Material Bank integration embeds 16,000 real materials from 50 brands.
  • August 2026 Video turns still renders into motion inside one browser workspace.
