GoMining and DMND mining pool have mined what they describe as the first Bitcoin block where the miner, rather than the pool, selected the transactions using Stratum V2's Job Declaration feature. The achievement marks a significant step in reducing mining pool centralisation. Stratum V2 allows individual miners to construct their own block templates whilst maintaining pooled mining benefits. GoMining used the protocol to prioritise transactions from its GoBTC Pay payment protocol. The company says the milestone demonstrates the protocol is ready for wider commercial adoption. The development comes as public Bitcoin miners diversify into AI infrastructure. CoinShares estimates listed miners have signed approximately 20 AI-related contracts worth around $85 billion in contracted revenue, which could represent 80% of their revenue by end-2026.

Babylon Labs and GoMining have announced plans to integrate Babylon's Trustless Bitcoin Vault infrastructure with GoMining's mining products, potentially activating up to 1,000 BTC (approximately $75 million). The integration would allow Bitcoin holders to lock their BTC through Babylon's vaults, programmatically borrow stablecoins and allocate them to GoMining's mining operations whilst maintaining custody of their Bitcoin. Mining rewards would be settled natively in BTC without requiring wrapping or bridging. GoMining's Institutional Bitcoin Mining Yield Vault will be structured as a tokenised fund with third-party custody, administration and valuation. The company serves 5 million users and ranks amongst the top-10 Bitcoin miners globally by hashrate. Babylon's Bitcoin staking protocol has already activated over $10 billion worth of native Bitcoin.
