The office, situated just minutes from local courthouses in one of the city's most vibrant and walkable neighborhoods, will enhance GRSM's ability to serve clients across Southeast Tennessee, Northwest Georgia, and the surrounding region. The office will be led by Heather Gwinn, who oversees GRSM's Nashville, Knoxville, and Memphis offices, providing strategic leadership and consistency across the region. Partner Matt Nugent will maintain an on-the-ground presence in Chattanooga, working on the office's day-to-day operations and strengthening its connections with clients and the local legal and business communities. Nugent is joined by Partner Michael Petherick, who joined the firm in July. Nugent focuses on representing clients in high-stakes complex commercial, mass tort, product liability, business torts, and chemical exposure litigation, while Petherick's practice concentrates on matters involving transportation, premises liability, products liability, and complex litigation. Their extensive experience and diverse practice areas strengthen the firm's capabilities in the Southeast and nationwide. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina. Littlefield focuses his practice on litigation defense involving medical malpractice, correctional health care, nursing home, transportation, and general liability matters. He is a former Air Force officer and combat veteran with more than 22 years of combined experience in law, project management, and business leadership.
