The acquisition aims to advance Focus's strategy of providing healthcare organisations with a unified technology platform rather than fragmented vendor relationships. GuideIT will operate as "GuideIT, A Focus Company" following the transaction's close. The company has over two decades of experience serving healthcare organisations through managed IT services, cybersecurity, and cloud integration. For GuideIT clients, existing teams, contracts, and relationships will remain unchanged. The combination expands Focus's national delivery capabilities and technical expertise, positioning it to support larger healthcare organisations. "Healthcare doesn't have a technology problem, it has an accountability problem," said Bruce Schaumberg, founder and CEO of Focus. MartinWolf served as financial adviser to GuideIT.
