HERE brings AI-powered route intelligence to fleet operations at IAA Transportation 2026.

HERE brings AI-powered route intelligence to fleet operations at IAA Transportation 2026. HERE will spotlight how an AI reasoning layer, driver feedback loops and transport routing agents help transportation teams move from planning to execution Hannover, Germany - HERE Technologies, the world's leading mapping and location data company, today announced it will showcase AI-powered route optimization and decision-support capabilities at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026, demonstrating how location intelligence can help transportation teams adapt faster when plans meet real-world conditions. HERE is focused on helping fleets and logistics providers solve a practical challenge: routes planned early in the morning can be disrupted within hours by traffic, driver availability, carrier disruptions, last-minute order changes and other unexpected events. At IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 in Hannover, Germany, HERE will demonstrate how AI reasoning, commercial vehicle routing, last meter delivery guidance and transportation-specific AI agents can help organizations adapt faster when plans meet real-world conditions. HERE is advancing route optimization beyond static planning by connecting three capabilities: * A time and constraint-dependent route solver that accounts for changing conditions * Last meter delivery guidance that captures real-world driver and delivery feedback * An AI reasoning layer designed to explain route optimization decisions, surface actionable adjustments for dispatch teams and support continuous improvement over time. In addition, HERE will demonstrate an AI agent tasked with identifying and explaining the safest, most compliant and productive route for heavy transport, helping dispatchers plan operations with a higher degree of confidence. "The opportunity is not just to create a better plan, but to help transportation teams anticipate changes and know what to do next," said Bart Coppelmans, Senior Director of Product Management at HERE Technologies. "By combining commercial vehicle routing, driver feedback and location-aware AI reasoning, HERE helps fleets and logistics providers make more confident decisions from planning through execution." This shift is becoming more urgent as cost pressure, service expectations and operational disruptions make static planning harder to rely on. Closing the Gap Between Route Planning and Execution Transportation providers operate in environments where conditions change constantly. Congestion, delivery density, vehicle restrictions, failed handoffs and address-level access issues can quickly make planned routes less effective once drivers are in the field. For dispatchers, this means moving from optimization tools that simply return an answer toward systems that can explain why certain orders, routes or constraints are affected and suggest practical next steps. For drivers, a feedback loop on what happens at the curb, loading dock or final delivery point is essential, and the recently announced HERE Last Meter Guidance gives organizations clearer visibility into recurring access issues and execution patterns that can improve future planning and delivery. Built for Global Transportation Operations Whether supporting multinational fleets, regional distribution networks or global supply chains, organizations need consistent commercial vehicle intelligence across markets. HERE provides global commercial vehicle coverage in more than 90 countries across major logistics corridors. Its API routes trucks about 225 billion kilometers per month and is trusted by leading transport management systems. This helps organizations operate on a consistent location foundation while adapting to local regulations, vehicle restrictions and business requirements. The platform gives customers flexibility to deploy location intelligence across business applications, data environments and AI architectures while maintaining control of operational data. Industry Leaders to Discuss the Future of Truck Mobility HERE will host an Industry Stage session titled "From Data to Decisions: How Location Intelligence Is Transforming Truck Mobility" on September 15 from 16:00 to 16:45. Confirmed participants include: * Bart Coppelmans, HERE Technologies * Sowmya Gopal, HERE Technologies * Andreas Josko, Daimler Truck * Niclas Gyllenram, AiDEN Auto * Ryan Wiggin, ABI Research (Moderator) The discussion will explore how commercial vehicle manufacturers, technology providers and fleet operators are using location intelligence, connected vehicle technologies and AI to improve efficiency, support electrification and deliver smarter transportation services. In addition, HERE will join WirelessCar for a Main Stage session titled "Connected Trucks Meet AI: Developing Smarter Logistics Processes" on September 16 from 10:30 to 11:00. The speakers for this session are: * Marvin Ruf, HERE Technologies * Niklas Florén, WirelessCar This session explores how the combination of connected vehicle data, location intelligence, and AI helps fleet operators anticipate disruptions, optimize operations, and turn real-time insights into faster, smarter decisions. Arm brings the ecosystem together to build and define the next phase of physical AI.

Arm brings the ecosystem together to build and define the next phase of physical AI. This news blog post was originally published on Arm's website. It is reprinted here with the permission of Arm. News highlights. * Arm Total Design expands to physical AI, bringing together expertise across the technology stack to reduce integration complexity and accelerate autonomous system development * A Robotics Capability Framework is one of the ecosystem's first initiatives, providing a starting point for a common language to define and advance robotic systems * More than 80 companies across the physical AI ecosystem are joining Arm Total Design for Physical AI As agentic AI expands what intelligent systems can do, physical AI is bringing that intelligence into the industries that mine materials its world depends on, grow the food that sustains it, manufacture products and move people and goods around the globe. These industries represent trillions of dollars in global economic activity and a $200B annual compute opportunity in the 2030s^1, yet they remain among the hardest industries to transform. Unlocking that opportunity means enabling intelligent machines to sense, reason and act by bringing together AI models, software, compute, sensors and actuators into complete systems that can be trusted and deployed at scale. No single company can solve this alone. Edge Ai Vision need greater collaboration across an increasingly complex ecosystem, with common foundations that reduce fragmentation while giving innovators flexibility to differentiate. Today, Edge Ai Vision is taking steps to advance both. Edge Ai Vision announced Arm Total Design for Physical AI, bringing together more than 80 companies spanning the physical AI technology stack, including AWS, ECARX, Hugging Face, Liquid AI, NXP, PlusAI, PSYONIC, QNX, Qwen, Siemens, Unitree Robotics, and others, to accelerate physical AI development. And as one of the ecosystem's first collaborative initiatives, Edge Ai Vision is introducing a Robotics Capability Framework as a starting point for a common language to define and advance robotic capabilities. Extending Arm Total Design to accelerate innovation across the physical AI stack. Autonomous vehicles and robotics are tackling many of the same challenges across perception, AI, real-time control, safety and efficient computing. OEMs and partners need to reduce integration risk, optimize workloads and move from proof of concept to deployment faster. As Edge Ai Vision has seen with Arm Total Design for Cloud AI, bringing partners across the technology stack together through a highly collaborative model can help solve these challenges. Arm Total Design for Physical AI brings together expertise including software stacks, AI models, sensors, compute hardware, virtual platforms and digital twins to enable earlier development and validation of solutions. Edge Ai Vision is already seeing the impact of this collaborative approach in automotive, where Arm, AWS, Google, HERE, RemotiveLabs and Siemens collaborated on an integrated digital cockpit reference solution, enabling developers to develop, test, and validate complex automotive software on Arm Zena CSS before silicon is available. Inviting the robotics ecosystem to shape a common language. As outlined in a new manifesto from its chief architect Richard Grisenthwaite, robotics is advancing rapidly, but the industry still lacks a common way to describe, compare and communicate the capabilities of increasingly intelligent machines. This fragmentation makes robotic systems harder to design, integrate, and scale. As SAE Levels created a shared vocabulary for driving automation, robotics needs a common language of its own - and Arm is uniquely placed to convene the industry to tackle this challenge. A Robotics Capability Framework will define levels of increasing sophistication for robotic systems that connect real-world use cases with the behavior, outputs and system requirements of a robot including latency, compute placement, memory and power constraints, determinism and safety. Its initial structure was informed by perspectives and feedback from across the robotics ecosystem, and Edge Ai Vision'll continue to shape the framework alongside companies like Anaxi Labs, ANYbotics, FMC[3] Robotics, Fourier, GALBOT, Gravis Robotics, Lenovo, McKinsey, Robotec.ai and others. Edge Ai Vision invite the broader industry to contribute its expertise and help shape how the framework develops from here. A Robotics Capability Framework maps levels of robotic system sophistication, from reactive to context-aware, cognitive and self-improving systems Scaling physical AI requires an ecosystem approach. As AI becomes increasingly agentic, the next frontier is bringing that intelligence into the physical world. This will be one of the largest compute opportunities of its time and realizing it will take more than breakthrough technology. It requires a common foundation that allows the ecosystem to innovate, differentiate and scale. Arm is bringing that ecosystem together to help shape what comes next and accelerate the path from technology breakthroughs to deployment at scale, unlocking the next major wave of AI-driven economic growth.
