Education that keeps pace with industry: ASM Group of Institutes marks a milestone year with national recognition and a growing Technical Campus.

Education that keeps pace with industry: ASM Group of Institutes marks a milestone year with national recognition and a growing Technical Campus. 0 4 minutes read Across management, commerce, IT and engineering education, ASM Group of Institutes' campuses continue to attract students through industry-linked programs, global exposure and consistent placement outcomes - a year that also saw the Group named Pune's Best Management Institute and the completion of its new AI-powered technical campus's first full year. Pune, (Maharashtra) [India]: Every admission season brings the same question to a student's mind: which institute will actually prepare them for the working world, and not just hand them a degree? For thousands of students in and around Pune, that answer has increasingly pointed to ASM Group of Institutes, a Pimpri-Chinchwad-based education group that has spent over four decades building campuses around a simple idea: classrooms should mirror the industries students are headed into. That approach was recently validated at a national level: ASM was named "Pune's Best Management Institute" at the Navbharat Education Excellence Awards 2025, recognition for institutions delivering future-ready education aligned with real industry needs - a fitting marker as the Group enters its 43rd year. Established in 1983 under the aegis of the Audyogik Shikshan Mandal, ASM Group of Institutes has grown from a single management institute into a diversified education group with 12+ institutes across campuses in Pune, spanning study levels from kindergarten through doctoral research. The group is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and holds AICTE approval, with several of its programs also carrying NAAC accreditation. Over four decades, ASM has built a track record that includes several recognitions as a top-ranked B-school in Pune, an alumni base of over 75,000 professionals across 60+ countries, working across MNCs, Indian enterprises and startups, and placement partnerships with 350+ recruiters spanning IT, financial services, consulting, manufacturing, BFSI, analytics, FMCG, healthcare and emerging digital domains. At the heart of the Group is ASM's Institute of Business Management and Research (IBMR), the flagship institute from which ASM's journey began in 1983. IBMR offers AICTE-approved PGDM programs and has been among the first institutes nationally to introduce Artificial Intelligence as a second PGDM specialization, giving students the option to pair core management disciplines with AI-driven decision-making, analytics, automation and digital intelligence - a marker of ASM's early and sustained embrace of AI in management education, since extended across the Group's other institutes as well. ASM's Institute of International Business and Research (IIBR) concentrates on AICTE-approved PGDM programs across marketing, finance, human resources, pharma management and real estate marketing, with curriculum that draws on AI-linked coursework and industry certifications to give management aspirants a head start before they graduate. The institute offers paid internships, industry certifications,a focus on global business education, applied research and industry-aligned postgraduate programs. ASM's Institute of Commerce, Science and Information Technology (CSIT), affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, is among top colleges in PCMC, and is built for students choosing commerce, science and technology streams, offering programs from BBA and B.Com to B.Sc. degrees in AI & ML, cyber security and data science, giving undergraduates a foundation that can pivot in several technical or business directions later. ASM's Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), a dedicated MBA campus offering a full-time, two-year program affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by AICTE, where faculty drawn from both industry and academia, paired with an alumni network spread across more than a thousand global careers, anchor its reputation among Pune's management colleges. The Group's newest addition, ASM's NextGen Technical Campus in Talegaon, Pune, spread across a 15-acre, AI-powered campus is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by AICTE, offers B.E. programs in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics & Computer Engineering, alongside BCA and MCA programs - built around smart classrooms, advanced labs and a digital-first learning environment designed for Industry 4.0. More details are available at asmnext.edu.in. What ties the campuses together is a shared emphasis on placement support, live industry projects, international academic tie-ups and, more recently, AI-integrated learning modules rolled out across programs. ASM has partnered with globally respected organisations including Nasscom, Harvard Business Publishing, Microsoft, AWS Educate, Automation Anywhere, SAP& more, partnerships that actively shape curriculum design, certifications and experiential learning rather than serving as brochure logos. The group counts alumni in leadership roles across sectors including manufacturing, IT, finance, banking, agritech, and healthcare, and continues to work with top recruiters and academic partners in India and abroad, including recently signed MoUs with South Asian universities for student exchange and joint research. Speaking on the group's continued appeal among students, Dr Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman, ASM Group of Institutes, said: "Every institute we have built exists for a reason. A student headed into management, one building a career in commerce and technology, and one training to be an engineer all need a different kind of preparation - that's why we've never tried to fit everyone into one classroom. Education has to evolve at the pace of the world outside the campus, and staying close to that pace is what keeps us building institute by institute, rather than settling for one size that fits none. Forty-three years on, no ranking means as much to me as hearing an alumnus say they walked into their first job already ready for it." For students still shortlisting colleges this admission cycle, ASM Group of Institutes is positioning its campuses around a straightforward pitch: pick a track - management, commerce and technology, engineering, or a dedicated MBA - and get an education designed specifically for it, backed by a group that has been refining this model across Maharashtra since 1983. Looking further ahead, the Group has also begun laying the groundwork for ASM NextGen University, envisioned as a multidisciplinary university bringing management, technology, research, innovation and entrepreneurship together under one future-ready academic ecosystem. "Our vision is long-term," says Dr Pachpande. "ASM NextGen University will be built on the same values that have guided us for decades - quality, relevance and responsibility - but reimagined for the future." About ASM Group of Institutes ASM Group of Institutes is a Pune-based education group established in 1983, comprising specialised institutes including ASM's Institute of Business Management and Research (IBMR), ASM's Institute of International Business and Research (IIBR), ASM's Institute of Commerce, Science and Information Technology (CSIT), ASM's Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), and ASM's NextGen Technical Campus, Talegaon. The group offers AICTE-approved and Savitribai Phule Pune University-affiliated programs across management, commerce, science, information technology and engineering, with an alumni network of over 75,000 professionals globally and placement partnerships with 350+ recruiters. Strategy, Creativity, and the Courage to Be Wrong

Strategy, creativity, and the courage to be wrong. I wrote this because I've learned the hard way that strategy doesn't start with answers. It starts with curiosity, discomfort, and the courage to be wrong in front of your team. I was heartened and honestly, a bit relieved, to see the results of Harvard Business Impact's 2025 Global Leadership Development Study. A majority of people surveyed want their leaders to demonstrate and communicate more strategy and creativity. Not just manage change but lead it. Not just support innovation but provoke it. That's a shift I've been waiting for. In my own leadership journey, I found the magic wasn't in having all the answers. It was in two deceptively simple practices: When leaders show curiosity - real, open-ended, "I might be wrong" curiosity - it creates a safe space for teammates to challenge ideas, question decisions, and surface problems before they stall progress. When United States Distance Learning Association provoke conversations (not just host meetings), United States Distance Learning Association invite people to co-create strategy, not just execute it. AI tools can help here. I've used them to generate personas, tone shifts, and even devil's advocate prompts to stretch my thinking. But the real strength still comes from the people closest to the work. That's where insight lives. Let's make 2026 the year United States Distance Learning Association lead with curiosity and build cultures where strategy and creativity aren't just expected - they're practiced daily. Here are 4 steps you can use now to start with: * Ask your team: "What's one assumption we should challenge this quarter?" * Use AI to simulate alternative perspectives - then test them with your team * Share a moment when you changed your mind - and what it taught you * Create space for disagreement without penalty I'd love to hear how you're building these capabilities in your own leadership practice. What's working? What's hard? What's next? And if you're looking to map out a strategy or build these skills into your team's rhythm, I'm always glad to help. Thanks for reading Developing People for Performance with Bill Ryan! This post is public so feel free to share it. Bill Ryan. Bridging Distance, Building Excellence - As founder and CEO of Ryan Consulting, I transform how organizations thrive in remote and virtual environments. For over 25 years, I've been fascinated by one question: How do United States Distance Learning Association create extraordinary connection and performance when teams aren't in the same room? This question has guided my career helping organizations harness the full potential of their distributed workforce. My approach is refreshingly practical. I align what I call the 3P's - Purpose, People, and Process - creating frameworks where remote teams don't just function, they flourish. Working together, United States Distance Learning Association'll craft solutions precisely calibrated to your organization's unique challenges. Whether through customized workshops on performance support, process refinement, mobile solutions, or organizational effectiveness, I bring proven strategies that deliver measurable results. My greatest satisfaction comes from watching leaders, teams, and individuals discover they can collaborate more effectively across distance than they ever thought possible. In a world of constant change, that's not just good business - it's transformational. Ready to reimagine what your remote workforce can achieve? Let's connect.
