HealthCorps

National nonprofit educating teens on health

Overview

HealthCorps is a national nonprofit that works to reduce health inequity by educating and empowering teens to become change-agents in their families, schools, and neighborhoods. It delivers educational programming, leadership experiences, and service-learning opportunities to help today’s youth build physical and mental resilience. Programs are designed to be implemented in schools and communities, combining health education with hands-on activities and leadership development. Unlike organizations that target adults or rely on passive information, HealthCorps focuses on teens as active participants who can influence their own environments. The goal is to improve health outcomes and well-being across communities by equipping young people with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to lead health-promoting changes.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • AtlanticCare launched a three-year partnership in 2026 across ten Atlantic County schools.
  • HealthCorps is recruiting interns in all regions, signaling operating expansion.
  • Existing 2026-27 programming spans Delaware, Inland Empire, and multiple partner schools.

What critics are saying

  • HealthCorps depends on sponsors like AtlantiCare and philanthropy for program expansion.
  • School-site recruitment remains bottlenecked by staff sponsors, space, and student participation.
  • If sponsorship renewals stall after 2026, regional programs contract fast and visibility drops.

What makes HealthCorps unique

  • HealthCorps sells near-peer teen wellness clubs, not generic health curricula.
  • Its 2026 AtlanticCare partnership funds ten Atlantic County schools over three years.
  • Programs blend college mentors, school activation, and regional events into one model.

ARG's 5th Annual Golf Outing raises $100,000 for HealthCorps. Signature charitable event celebrates five years of community impact and raises critical funds to support teen health and wellness programs. EXTON, PA (August 2026) Allied Resources Group (ARG) proudly announced that its 5th Annual ARG Golf Outing raised $100,000 in support of HealthCorps, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering teens through health education, mental wellness initiatives, and leadership development programs. The annual tournament brought together clients, business partners, sponsors, employees, and community supporters for a day of networking, philanthropy, and friendly competition, all in support of a meaningful cause. "This tournament represents far more than a day on the golf course," said Dennis F. Zatlin, CEO of ARG. "It brings together the people who support our company and channels that collective generosity into creating a lasting impact in our communities. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this milestone possible." Over the past five years, the ARG Golf Outing has supported a variety of nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities throughout the region. Beneficiaries have included: * 2026: HealthCorps (www.healthcorps.org) * 2025: The Brian Westbrook Foundation (www.brianwestbrookfoundation.com) * 2024: The Challenge Program (www.tcpinc.org) * 2023: Bringing Hope Home (www.bringinghopehome.org) & Timoteo Sports (www.timoteosports.org) * 2022: Bringing Hope Home (www.bringinghopehome.org) Funds raised through this year's event will help HealthCorps continue its mission of educating and empowering young people to make healthier lifestyle choices, strengthen their physical and mental well-being, and become catalysts for positive change within their schools and communities. The success of the event was made possible through the generosity of sponsors, golfers, volunteers, donors, and attendees whose support helped make the tournament one of ARG's most successful charitable initiatives to date. Since its inception, the ARG Golf Tournament has demonstrated the company's commitment to giving back and strengthening the communities it serves. The event continues to reflect ARG's core values of partnership, service, and community engagement.
