Harvest taps Helcim to make final step 'seamless' for SMBs in canada. Late payments can fast become a constraint on the ability of a small business to operate and grow. Two Canadian financial technology innovators are partnering to address this persistent problem. Toronto's Harvest - an AI-powered accounts receivable platform for Canadian businesses - is collaborating with Calgary-based payment processor Helcim. The strategic partnership will bring Helcim's payment processing capabilities directly into Harvest's platform, according to a statement from the firms. The integration will allow Helcim customers to connect accounts to Harvest and automatically add payment options to outstanding invoices. "Small businesses shouldn't need to have a large finance team to manage their outstanding invoices," posits Matt Himel, chief executive officer of Harvest. Himel founded Harvest last year to help businesses recover cash, improve cash flow, and reduce the time and effort spent on collections - while preserving customer relationships. "Harvest gives Canadian SMBs access to sophisticated AI technology that follows up on invoices, manages customer communication, and helps businesses get paid faster," he says. "Most SMBs... fail because they run out of money while waiting to get paid." Through integrating Helcim, "we are now making the final step just as seamless," Himel stated. "Customers can move directly from a personalized invoice reminder to an affordable and convenient way to pay." Payments should be "simple, transparent, and affordable for every small business," says Helcim founder Nic Beique. "That's the mission we've built Helcim on from day one." "Through this partnership, we're bringing our fair pricing and full suite of tools directly to Harvest users, so they can accept payments without hidden fees eating into their bottom line," he stated. Earlier this year, Helcim launched the Helcim Payment Extension, a browser-based tool. The extension allows payment data to flow between the software and Helcim automatically, ensuring invoices are marked paid and records remain synchronized without manual reconciliation or custom integrations.
Helcim is now an ARI Partner. Helcim is Now built into ARI. You asked for a cheaper way to get paid online, and Auto Repair Invoicing delivered. As of today, Helcim is ARI's newest payment processor, sitting alongside Stripe, Square, 360Payments, and PayPal. If you're tired of flat-rate processors charging the same 2.9% + 30¢ on every card - whether it's a basic debit or a premium rewards card - this one is for you. What Makes Helcim Different? Helcim uses interchange-plus pricing. This means you pay the actual cost that Visa and Mastercard charge, plus a small, published markup. * No flat rates or hidden fees. * No monthly subscriptions and no contracts. * Automatic scaling: The more you process, the lower your rate automatically adjusts. * Regional Support: Available in both the US and Canada, supporting both USD and CAD. * Zero Platform Fees: ARI does not charge a platform fee on top of Helcim. What Helcim charges is exactly what you pay. How It Works in ARI Setting up your integration takes about two minutes: * Navigate: Open Payments | Payment Processors | Helcim in your ARI app. * Connect: * New to Helcim? Click Sign Up. Your account will be approved (usually within a business day) and linked automatically. * Existing User? Simply paste your API token into the "Already have a Helcim account?" section. The client experience. Once set up, every invoice you send includes a Pay Now button. Your client clicks it, and Helcim's secure payment window opens directly inside the Client Portal. They can pay via credit card or ACH with no redirects or required logins. Payments flow back into ARI automatically - including the approval code, last four digits, and cardholder name. You can even process refunds or voids directly within ARI (Auto Repair Software) without needing to open a separate dashboard. Real Savings Here is how much a shop processing $30,000/month in card payments can save by switching from a flat-rate processor to Helcim: | Processor | Effective Rate | Monthly Cost | Annual Cost | | Flat-rate (2.9% + 30¢) | ~3.0% | ~$900 | ~$10,800 | | Helcim (Interchange-plus) | ~2.2% | ~$660 | ~$7,920 | | Your Savings | - | ~$240/month | ~$2,880/year | Note: Your exact rate depends on your specific card mix, but most shops see significant savings when switching to interchange-plus. Try it today. If online payments are a meaningful part of your revenue, Helcim is worth a close look. You can connect in minutes, keep your existing processor if you prefer, or switch your primary processor at any time.
