Hexagon's federal arm promotes new leader from within. Elliott Ferguson now leads the subsidiary as president, seven years after he joined it. Hexagon US Federal photo. The parent corporation is preparing to split in two during the first half of this year. Hexagon US Federal, the industrial tech conglomerate's subsidiary for the U.S. government market, has promoted Elliott Ferguson to president from his current role as chief operating officer. Ferguson moves up to lead the subsidiary amid a series of leadership appointments and organizational changes as the parent corporation prepares to split in two, Hexagon AB said Tuesday. Hexagon AB is spinning off its safety, infrastructure and geospatial, and asset lifecycle intelligence divisions into a new publicly-traded entity called Octave. That separation is scheduled to complete during the first half of this year, after which Hexagon US Federal entity will support the portfolios of both companies in the federal landscape. Ferguson has been with Hexagon US Federal for seven years and its COO for one year. He succeeds Chris Reichert, who became the subsidiary's CEO in the fall of 2024 and has departed the company. Prior to Hexagon US Federal, Ferguson spent a decade in the geospatial community focused on product development and data delivery. This transition takes place roughly six months after Hexagon US Federal divested the bulk of its intelligence and defense portfolio to B&A, a move also made to align with the spinoff plan and sharpen the parent company's focus on public safety software. The subsidiary also announced these key leadership appointments: * Phil Chandler, vice president of business operations * Victoria Privett, vice president of corporate services * Greta Brant, director of contracts * Marc Langlois, director of sales
Hexagon US Federal appoints elliott Ferguson president, announces leadership changes. Hexagon US Federal has appointed new leaders as part of organizational changes aligned with its efforts to enhance operations, drive strategic growth and enable government customers to achieve mission success. The Chantilly, Virginia-based company said Tuesday the leadership changes support its continued focus on delivering software-driven capabilities ahead of the planned Octave spinoff from Hexagon AB, expected in the first half of 2026, when Octave will operate as a standalone business. Who is elliott Ferguson? Elliott Ferguson, who has been with Hexagon for nearly seven years, will lead the new slate of appointees as he transitions from chief operating officer to president. In his new role, the executive will oversee the company's customer delivery and long-term growth strategy. Ferguson previously served as vice president of both software & data solutions and geospatial solutions. Before that, he was VP of professional services at Boundless and CEO of T-Kartor USA. He also worked as a geospatial engineer at Harris and a geospatial analyst at Wiser Imagery. Who are the other new appointees at Hexagon US Federal? Hexagon US Federal also named Phil Chandler as vice president of business operations. He previously served as deputy chief financial officer of U.S. Space & Rocket Center, controller at EOS Defense Systems USA and manager of the project controller practice at Deloitte. Victoria Privett was promoted from director of human resources & talent acquisition to VP of corporate services, assuming responsibility for HR, contracts and marketing. Before joining Hexagon, Privett served various HR-related functions at United Way, FishEye Software and MartinFed. Greta Brant will manage contract lifecycles, procurement and the enterprise program management office as director of contracts. She brings extensive experience from senior contract leadership positions at Peraton, Nathan Associates, DMI, MTSI, SAIC, AECOM and Raytheon, among others. Marc Langlois was named director of sales and will spearhead Hexagon's go-to-market strategy. He previously worked at Oracle as senior director of cloud sales, government, defense and intelligence. His three-decade career also features stints at Microsoft and CA Technologies. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
