Dimand partners with Hilton for landmark Thessaloniki FIX redevelopment.

Dimand partners with Hilton for landmark Thessaloniki FIX redevelopment. July 4, 2026 Dimand Real Estate has formally partnered with Hilton to operate the hospitality component of the landmark FIX redevelopment in Thessaloniki, marking the international hotel group's return to northern Greece through a 25-year management agreement. The agreement covers the hotel facilities being developed within the former FIX brewery complex, a flagship €250 million mixed-use project that is expected to reshape Thessaloniki's western gateway. Hilton returns to Thessaloniki. "It is particularly important for us that Hilton selected the FIX project as the vehicle for its return to Thessaloniki and northern Greece," said Dimitris Andriopoulos, Chief Executive Officer of Dimand. The hotel will operate under the name Hilton Thessaloniki, becoming one of the city's few internationally branded hotels. According to Andriopoulos, only seven out of approximately 150 hotels in Thessaloniki currently operate under international hotel brands, representing just 5% of the local market. The mixed-use development will also serve nearby corporate offices, including four major banks and Coca-Cola, whose combined workforce of around 1,500 employees will gain access to new conference, dining and event facilities. July 4, 2026 Two hotels with 184 rooms. The hospitality component will comprise 184 rooms and suites across two separate buildings. The primary hotel will occupy a newly constructed 11,250-square-meter building, housing 153 rooms. An additional 32 rooms will be developed within one of the site's preserved heritage buildings, covering approximately 7,000 square meters. The restored structure will also accommodate a 600-square-meter wellness center, restaurants, a microbrewery, conference facilities and event spaces. - Advertisement - Discover more Geographic Reference Accounting & Auditing Residential component already attracting buyers. Alongside the hotel, the project will include an 8,850-square-meter residential development comprising 96 apartments spread across nine floors, supported by 146 parking spaces. Residential prices average around €7,000 per square meter, ranging from approximately €5,500 to €10,000 per square meter for premium residences. Prices will start at roughly €300,000 for one-bedroom apartments, while penthouses will reach €2.5 million. Dimand has already pre-sold the first 10 apartments, all to buyers from Thessaloniki, with the next sales phase targeting Greeks living abroad as well as international purchasers. Heritage buildings to become cultural destinations. One of the preserved complexes, acquired by Greece's Ministry of Culture in August, will become a new cultural hub housing MOMus - Museum of Modern Art, including the internationally renowned Costakis Collection, considered one of the world's most significant collections of Russian avant-garde art. June 27, 2026 The collection comprises 1,277 works, including paintings, drawings, ceramics and sculptures. The same complex will also host the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki and the State Conservatory, strengthening the project's cultural dimension. Another preserved building, designed in 1959 by celebrated Greek architect Takis Zenetos, will be transformed into a gastronomy and events venue featuring two to four restaurants. Historic industrial machinery and steel structures will be preserved as architectural features, with additional equipment displayed in a dedicated exhibition space.

Why is Istanbul one of Europe's fastest growing wellness destinations?

Why is Istanbul one of Europe's fastest growing wellness destinations? OnlineMassage Editorial Team Last updated: July 2, 2026 Introduction. Istanbul has long been known for its historical grandeur, its cuisine, and its position as the bridge between Europe and Asia. But in recent years, a new identity has been emerging: Istanbul as a premier global wellness destination. From five-star spa retreats overlooking the Bosphorus to on-demand mobile massage Istanbul services that bring professional therapy to your hotel room, the city's wellness infrastructure has undergone a transformation that is attracting health-conscious travelers from across the world. 10 questions about Istanbul as a wellness destination. Q1: What factors are driving Istanbul's growth as a wellness destination? Several converging factors are responsible. The city's existing hammam tradition provides a cultural wellness foundation. Growing investment in luxury hotel spa facilities, the rapid expansion of mobile massage Istanbul services, increasing health awareness among Istanbul's large young professional population, and strong international tourism recovery have all contributed significantly. Q2: How does Istanbul compare to other European wellness destinations? Traditional European wellness destinations like Baden-Baden, Budapest, and Vichy are associated primarily with thermal spa tourism. Istanbul offers thermal traditions through its hammams alongside modern Istanbul massage service options, a lower cost base for comparable quality, extraordinary cultural and culinary experiences, and year-round favorable weather for wellness tourism. Q3: What role does the Turkish hammam tradition play in Istanbul's wellness identity? The hammam is a cornerstone of Turkish wellness culture with a 500-year history in Istanbul. It provides an authentic cultural experience that no other city can replicate. When combined with contemporary professional massage therapist Istanbul services, visitors get access to both ancient tradition and modern therapy during the same trip. Q4: Which international wellness travelers are most drawn to Istanbul? Gulf state visitors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar represent one of the largest segments. European wellness tourists from Germany, UK, and France are growing rapidly. North American health-conscious travelers are also increasingly choosing Istanbul as a destination that combines culture, history, and quality wellness experiences. Q5: How has the luxury hotel sector contributed to Istanbul's wellness growth? Major international hotel groups including Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Conrad, and Hilton have invested heavily in spa and wellness facilities at their Istanbul properties. This has set quality benchmarks that have elevated standards across the industry, including for luxury massage Istanbul providers operating independently. Q6: Is Istanbul becoming more accessible for wellness tourism? Yes. Istanbul Airport is one of Europe's largest and best-connected hubs, with direct flights to over 300 destinations. This exceptional connectivity means wellness travelers from almost anywhere in the world can reach Istanbul with minimal stopovers, making it an increasingly practical choice for short wellness breaks. Q7: How has mobile massage contributed to Istanbul's wellness reputation? The availability of high-quality mobile massage Istanbul services has democratized access to professional massage therapy. Visitors who cannot or prefer not to visit fixed spa facilities can now receive the same quality of care in their accommodation. This accessibility has expanded Istanbul's wellness appeal to a much broader demographic. Q8: What wellness trends from abroad are influencing Istanbul's massage industry? The global rise of evidence-based massage therapy, the growing focus on mental wellness alongside physical recovery, the normalization of regular massage as preventive healthcare, and the wellness-travel trend all mirror developments in Istanbul's local industry. Istanbul massage service providers are increasingly offering specialized modalities to meet diverse client needs. Q9: Is wellness tourism growing faster in Istanbul than traditional tourism? Industry data suggests that wellness-motivated travel to Istanbul is growing at a faster rate than general tourism. As global travelers become more health-conscious and seek experiences that combine cultural enrichment with physical wellbeing, Istanbul is uniquely positioned to capture this premium segment. Q10: What should a wellness-focused visitor prioritize during an Istanbul trip? A combination of an authentic hammam experience, a professional hotel massage Istanbul session from a certified mobile therapist, and time to enjoy the city's extraordinary food culture creates the ideal wellness-focused Istanbul itinerary. Many visitors build their entire trip around this combination. Things to know before your wellness visit. * Book massage services in advance during peak seasons (April-June, September-October) * Turkish massage etiquette differs from Western norms; brief research is worthwhile * Stay in central neighborhoods for easiest access to all wellness services Expert tips. Wellness travel specialists recommend at minimum a four-night Istanbul stay to fully experience the city's wellness offerings without rushing. This allows time for a hammam, two or three mobile massage sessions, and adequate rest between cultural explorations. Conclusion. Istanbul's rise as one of Europe's premier wellness destinations is no accident. It is the result of a unique combination of cultural heritage, modern investment, geographical advantage, and a growing industry of professional services including mobile massage Istanbul. Whether you are planning a dedicated wellness retreat or simply want to enhance a cultural trip with expert therapeutic care, Istanbul is ready to exceed your expectations.
