HoYoverse shuts down AI companion app BSide Olivia Lin after 28 days. HoYoverse has announced the shutdown of its experimental AI companion application, BSide: Olivia Lin. The title launched in Early Access on Steam China on July 13, 2026, but the studio is ending online operations after just 28 days of service. The app centers on Lin Li, a Shanghai university student majoring in piano and minoring in psychology, who interacts with users through music performances and AI generated letters. Offline version features and transition schedule. To preserve part of the experience, HoYoverse will release an offline version on August 27 at 3:00 PM Shanghai time.
