Humanloop provides a platform for enterprises to build, test, and monitor large language models (LLMs). It offers a set of tools for prompt management, A/B testing, observability, and fine-tuning with private data, helping product managers, engineers, and domain experts collaborate to create reliable AI applications. The platform works across multiple model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere), so teams can switch providers or avoid vendor lock-in while working on end-to-end development and deployment. Compared with other AI tooling, Humanloop focuses on evaluating and monitoring model behavior, managing prompts, and iterating with private data to improve safety and performance, not just code generation. The company’s goal is to enable safe, scalable adoption of AI in business, helping enterprises deploy useful AI features and workflows while maintaining control over data and model behavior.

The competition has intensified to the point where companies are conducting "acqui-hires," acquiring entire teams primarily for talent rather than technology, as seen with Anthropic's recent acquisition of the Humanloop team2.
Anthropic has acquired the co-founders and most of the team from Humanloop, a platform for AI prompt management and evaluation, to boost its enterprise strategy. The deal, which did not include Humanloop's assets or IP, aligns with Anthropic's focus on AI safety. Humanloop, founded in 2020, raised nearly $8 million in seed funding. This acquisition supports Anthropic's competitive positioning against rivals like OpenAI and Google DeepMind.
Today, Humanloop is announcing the preview of Humanloop for Large Language Models (LLMs).
UK-based startup that makes it easier for companies of all sizes to adopt AI technology, Humanloop has raised $2.6 million in seed funding. The round was led by venture capital firm Index Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, LocalGlobe and Albion. Founded in 2020 by a team of computer scientists from UCL and Cambridge, and alumni of Google and Amazon, Humanloop aims to tackle the hugely time-consuming problem of humans needing to draw on their judgement and domain expertise in order to label the massive data sets required to train machine learning algorithms. The company draws on innovations in computer science that make it possible to automate the labelling of data, as well as to build robust models from smaller data sets and continuously update those models
That's why Humanloop is really excited to announce Programmatic 4.0 with support for No-Code Templates — simple UI-based labeling functions that anyone can understand even if they don't know how to program.
