Overview
IBTS helps municipalities build resilient communities by reducing risk, improving public safety, and enhancing quality of life through public-non-profit partnerships and regional service agreements. It provides services across Building and Community Development, Energy and Sustainability, Disaster Planning and Recovery, Quality Assurance, and Compliance and Risk Monitoring as a nationwide nonprofit with offices nationwide. The work is guided by a Board of Directors drawn from major state and local government associations. Its goal is to balance social, economic, and environmental priorities to deliver safer, better-run communities.
