ICEF Public Schools

Public charter schools delivering equity-focused education

Overview

ICEF Public Schools operates seven public charter schools in Los Angeles, serving over 2,500 students from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade. The organization focuses on equity, literacy, and numeracy to help all students, especially students of color, close learning and opportunity gaps. Students receive a Chromebook for digital learning and classrooms have interactive screens to boost engagement. The schools provide nutritious meals to support health and learning. ICEF pursues community engagement and curriculum development through an active Board of Directors and staff, and runs the Alder teacher residency program to give aspiring teachers hands-on classroom experience paired with educational theory. The goal is to prepare students for college, careers, and life by building strong academics, character, and opportunities.
