AVEVA and IFS join forces to bridge the gap between industrial insight and action. New AI-powered 'Continuous Asset Decision Intelligence' solution connects operations, enterprise systems, and capital planning AVEVA and IFS have announced a strategic technology partnership to advance AI-powered asset decision intelligence, unveiling a new solution called Continuous Asset Decision Intelligence at AVEVA World 2026 in Milan. The collaboration aims to connect operational data, enterprise workflows, and strategic planning into a single, intelligent decision-making framework for asset-intensive industries. The partnership addresses a longstanding industry challenge: fragmented data across operational and enterprise systems. While real-time operational data is typically available at the plant or asset level, critical information such as maintenance history, workforce availability, spare parts, and capital investment plans often reside in separate systems. This disconnect slows decision-making and limits organizations' ability to respond effectively. "Industrial intelligence only becomes real when you have the complete picture from sensor to boardroom." - Caspar Herzberg, CEO, AVEVA According to Caspar Herzberg, CEO of AVEVA, the collaboration is focused on breaking down these silos and enabling organizations to leverage a full, connected view of their operations. He emphasized that when data flows seamlessly from sensors to executive decision-makers, organizations can act faster and with greater confidence. Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS, reinforced the importance of translating insight into execution. He noted that the partnership enables enterprises to evaluate asset performance and determine the best course of action whether to repair, defer, or replace based on a continuous flow of data and AI-driven recommendations. "Together, we can help customers decide what work to do, when to do it, and whether to repair, defer or replace with evidence from signal to outcome." - Mark Moffat, CEO, IFS The solution integrates three key layers: operational intelligence, enterprise execution, and capital planning, creating a unified decision flow across the asset lifecycle. For industries such as utilities, energy, and manufacturing, this allows emerging issues to be assessed at a portfolio level rather than as isolated events. "This partnership closes the distance between insight and action by unifying operational intelligence with enterprise execution." - Jeffrey Hojlo, IDC Industry analysts view this approach as a major step toward closing the gap between analytics and action. Jeffrey Hojlo of IDC highlighted that the integration creates a "closed-loop digital thread" that supports not only real-time decision-making but also advanced AI capabilities such as predictive and agentic systems. By enabling real-time, evidence-based decisions, the AVEVA-IFS partnership is expected to improve asset reliability, optimize capital allocation, and strengthen regulatory compliance. As industrial organizations face increasing pressure to enhance efficiency and sustainability, the collaboration positions continuous, AI-driven decision intelligence as a critical capability for the future of connected industries.
IFS has launched IFS.ai Logistics, an AI-powered logistics intelligence platform for enterprises managing complex multi-carrier transport networks. The solution, built on technology from 7bridges acquired in 2025, delivers a closed operational loop spanning transport planning, automated execution, freight audit and network optimisation. The platform addresses logistics costs, which typically represent 5–10% of enterprise revenue but remain difficult to govern due to fragmented data. IFS.ai Logistics provides AI-driven carrier selection, zero-touch automated execution, finance-grade freight audit validation and network simulation capabilities. Operating within IFS Cloud, the solution standardises fragmented transport data into a single intelligence layer. The platform is available now and was announced at IFS Connect 2026 in Munich. IFS already manages $2.4 trillion in critical assets for customers globally.
