INTRACOM DEFENSE receives double distinction at the "Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2026" Awards. * July 16, 2026 INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE) was honored with two significant awards at the "Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2026" Awards' Ceremony, one of Greece's leading business awards, organized by Direction Business Network for the 11th consecutive year, on Monday, July 13th, 2026. INTRACOM DEFENSE received the "Industry Protagonist" award, recognized as the leading Greek economy's key industry in Defense Electronic Systems Sector, based on its 2024 financial performance and more specifically its revenue, profits before tax and cash reserves. MBDA taps Greek firm IDE to develop data link for DEFENDAIR missile. MBDA Deutschland has tapped Greek firm Intracom Defense (IDE) to develop and produce the data link solution for its DEFENDAIR counter-drone missile system. Under the signed contract, IDE will take on engineering development, prototyping, and integration support for various platforms. The company will also establish a manufacturing line for future serial production of the complete communication suite for both the missile and ground segment. Specific details about the data link, contract value, and delivery timeline were not disclosed. "This contract with MBDA Deutschland and its strategic importance marks a significant milestone for IDE and further validates our position as a trusted European partner and provider of advanced electronics and communications technologies," said Mr. Efstathios Karagiannis, IDE Chief Commercial Officer. Formerly known as the Small Anti-Drone Missile (SADM), the DEFENDAIR missile was designed to intercept small- to medium-sized drone threats at ranges greater than 5 kilometers (3 miles). INTRACOM DEFENSE strengthened international presence at Eurosatory 2026. INTRACOM DEFENSE showcases innovation at AUSA 2025. INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE) had a dynamic presence at the Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting & Exposition "AUSA 2025", held in Washington DC from October 13-15, 2025. The national participation was organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense, with the support of Enterprise Greece. Mr. George Troullinos, CEO of IDE, welcomed among the distinguished visitors at IDE's booth, H.E.
