Overview
ITSS designs, builds, and supports hazard-monitoring railway safety equipment throughout the lifecycle. Its flagship products are PEGASUS, a Hot Axle Box Detector (HABD) and Hot Wheel Detector (HWD) that uses infrared and fiber-optic sensors to monitor axle-box and brake temperatures, and AGUILA, a Wheel Impact Load Detector (WILD) and Weighing-in-Motion (WIM) system that detects wheel impacts and measures axle weights. The systems are installed on conventional and high-speed rail networks worldwide, and ITSS handles development, production, installation, maintenance, and ongoing support, enabling remote monitoring and predictive maintenance.”} ],

Simplify's Take
What believers are saying
- IVACE funded ITSS in 2026 for international expansion and digitalization.
- ITSS updated PEGASUS and AGUILA pages in June 2026, signaling active product upkeep.
- The company still markets global deployments across Australia, Germany, Turkey, Belgium, and Spain.
What critics are saying
- ITSS relies on dated website claims; no fresh third-party validation since 2022.
- European rail safety commoditizes detectors, squeezing pricing against larger signaling suppliers.
- A single-product concentration around PEGASUS and AGUILA leaves ITSS vulnerable to substitution.
What makes ITSS unique
- PEGASUS uses ten-beam infrared scanning plus a vibration sensor patent EP 1772342.
- AGUILA combines WILD and WIM detection for wheel damage and infrastructure protection.
- ITSS sells lifecycle services: design, production, installation, maintenance, and remote support.
