IIVC Evidensia runs a large network of clinics, hospitals, and after-hours centers across Europe and North America. It grows by acquiring existing practices and merging them into a centralized system, while allowing clinics to keep clinical freedom and receive centralized support such as procurement, administration, and professional development. Revenue comes from veterinary services across 2,500+ locations and from Pet Drugs Online, its online pet pharmacy. Its goal is to expand its geographic footprint and consolidate the fragmented veterinary market while maintaining high clinical standards and prioritizing staff welfare and sustainability.

IVC Evidensia has been certified as a Top Employer 2025 in the UK, becoming the first veterinary organisation in the country to receive the recognition. The certification, awarded by the Top Employers Institute, benchmarks organisations globally on their people practices, including strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and wellbeing. The recognition follows a series of initiatives introduced by IVC Evidensia to improve the employee experience. These include private healthcare options for all staff, new family-friendly policies, an expanding network of wellbeing champions and mental health first aiders, the launch of two training centres, and the establishment of a Colleague Forum to strengthen employee engagement. The company's Positive Pawprint strategy, which focuses on sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement, was also cited as a contributing factor. IVC Evidensia employs more than 28,000 people across Europe and operates over 2,000 veterinary practices and hospitals. Duncan Phillips, chief executive for the UK and Ireland at IVC Evidensia, said: "This certification is a welcome acknowledgement of the progress we've made, and a motivator to keep improving the experience for every colleague across the UK." Androna Benade, regional manager for the UK and Ireland at the Top Employers Institute, added: "With veterinary professionals playing a vital role in animal health, food safety and public wellbeing, this recognition sends a powerful message about the importance of valuing and investing in the people behind the profession."
