Ideagen named Glasgow 2026 AI technology Principal Partner, backs netball programme. Ideagen has been unveiled as the Official AI Technology Principal Partner of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, as well as Presenting Partner for Netball and an Official Partner of Team Scotland - a move that positions the Nottingham-headquartered firm among the leading sponsors of the United Kingdom's biggest sporting event this year. Founded in 2009, Ideagen develops software solutions that support quality, safety and compliance across highly regulated sectors including aviation, healthcare, life sciences, financial services, energy, and construction. Although its operations largely remain behind the scenes, the Glasgow 2026 partnership will bring the brand into public view, with hundreds of thousands of spectators expected across 11 days of competition from July 23 to August 2 at venues throughout Glasgow. The agreement, which combines Principal Partnership status with a presenting role in netball, reflects a shared commitment to excellence, performance standards and human potential. As part of the collaboration, Ideagen's branding will feature prominently across the netball programme, a sport with strong global reach across the Commonwealth. The company will also support grassroots development by providing sports equipment to schools and creating opportunities for young people to engage with sport, technology and science. Chief Information Officer for Glasgow 2026, Martin Fitchie, described the partnership as a natural alignment of values. "Leaders in both sport and technology strive for precision, reliability and continuous excellence. Ideagen recognises this deeply. Their technology underpins some of the world's most vital operations, and their dedication to zero failure aligns perfectly with the high standards of elite sport," Fitchie said. "This is a partnership founded on common values, and we are proud to welcome Ideagen as a Principal Partner. We look forward to showcasing how innovation and athletic performance go hand in hand at Glasgow 2026." Ideagen Chief Executive Officer, Ben Dorks, said the partnership reflects the company's performance-driven ethos. "Glasgow 2026 is where the world's best will come to prove that performance is everything - and that's exactly what makes this partnership so exciting, because it aligns directly with what our technology is built for," Dorks said. "Standards matter and failure isn't an option, whether competing for medals or supporting critical global industries. With colleagues, customers and operations across many Commonwealth nations, this partnership makes strategic and cultural sense for us." Also speaking, Jon Doig, Chief Executive of Team Scotland, welcomed the agreement, noting that Ideagen's international footprint across Commonwealth countries would enhance the Games' overall impact. "We are delighted to welcome Ideagen as a Principal Partner of Glasgow 2026 and Team Scotland. Their global connections across the Commonwealth will strengthen the reach and legacy of the Games this summer and beyond," he said.
