Inspiration Mobility Group has acquired select assets of Electrada, a commercial fleet electrification company, to expand its charging infrastructure capabilities. The acquisition adds Electrada's team, project pipeline, charging depot development software and intellectual property to Inspiration Energy, Inspiration's charging and energy management business. Founded in 2020, Electrada operates over 375 charging depots across the United States, delivering 99% electric fuel uptime and powering more than 10 million clean miles annually for public agencies and Fortune 500 companies. The acquisition enables Inspiration to offer end-to-end electric fuel solutions, from depot design and utility coordination to ongoing operations. Inspiration Energy will leverage Electrada's capabilities to expand in heavy-duty commercial vehicles, distribution fleets and autonomous vehicles through Charging-as-a-Service programmes.

In response to this market gap, and the repeated frustrations Inspiration Mobility Group heard from fleet managers and operational leaders regarding the poor results of their initial electrification efforts, Inspiration launched its eFMC model in 2021.
