Integrated Biosciences develops therapies for age-related diseases using a platform that blends synthetic biology, AI-driven small-molecule drug discovery, optogenetics, chemistry, and computation. The platform helps scientists understand complex cellular stress biology and identify compounds that modulate stress responses linked to neurodegeneration, cancer, and diabetes. Drugs are discovered and developed through research and development efforts, with the goal of bringing new therapeutics to patients. Unlike traditional pharma approaches that rely on a single method, Integrated Biosciences combines biology engineering, machine learning, and precision chemistry to accelerate the discovery and optimization of drug candidates.

Five new SEC Form D filings hit EDGAR this week, together raising $771.8M. Here’s the roundup, scored for B2B sales relevance by Funding…
Integrated Biosciences has secured $17.2 million in seed financing led by Sutter Hill Ventures to develop therapeutics targeting age-related diseases. The company combines synthetic biology and artificial intelligence to enhance drug discovery, employing techniques including optogenetics for precise cellular data control. The funding will accelerate development of the company's drug pipeline, enhance its platform and support commercialisation efforts. Integrated Biosciences benefits from advisors with expertise in medical engineering, systems biology and drug development, providing insight into translational medicine. The company's approach uses machine learning alongside synthetic biology to innovate the drug discovery process for age-related conditions.
Integrated Biosciences, a biotechnology company using optogenetics, chemistry and AI to discover therapeutics for age-related diseases, has appointed Tony Wu, co-founder of xAI, to its Scientific Advisory Board. Wu played a key role in building Grok, xAI's reasoning and agentic AI model, and scaling the Colossus supercomputer cluster. His expertise in large-scale model training and AI applications to scientific discovery will support Integrated Biosciences' platform, which has demonstrated sixfold improvements in hit rates for senolytic compounds and breakthroughs in virtual staining and biological age inference from microscopy. The appointment strengthens the company's advisory board, which includes experts in ageing biology, drug discovery and a Nobel Prize winner in chemistry. Integrated Biosciences is based in Redwood City, California.
Integrated Biosciences has appointed Daniel J. Anderson as chief scientific officer. Anderson joins from Eikon Therapeutics, where he served as CSO and managed a team of 130 scientists leading discovery and translational research efforts. In his new role, Anderson will oversee scientific strategy and pipeline development at Integrated Biosciences, which combines synthetic biology, chemistry and AI to discover small-molecule therapeutics for age-related diseases. He previously held positions at Recursion Pharmaceuticals, Cleave Biosciences and Genentech, advancing 10 programmes into clinical trials. Max Wilson, co-founder of Integrated Biosciences, has moved to chief technology officer, where he will focus on advancing the company's technology platform, including AI-enabled discovery systems and high-throughput biological screening.
