Nexion Travel Group and Tern announce strategic partnership to power the independent travel advisor. April 27, 2026. The best advisors are out there building real businesses. Its job is to make sure they have the support structure to do that well. Partnering with Tern is about giving its members the technology infrastructure that matches the ambition they bring to this industry - without asking them to trade their independence to get it. Jackie Friedman, President, Nexion Travel Group Two Organizations, One Conviction: Advocacy for advisors and technology for advisors should both be best in class IRVING, TX (April 27, 2026) - Nexion Travel Group, one of North America's most established and credentialed host agencies, and Tern, the modern operating platform for travel advisors, today announced a strategic partnership giving Nexion's 6,000+ member advisors access to Tern's full platform, including preferred pricing for members. The travel industry is changing fast. Technology is reshaping how advisors build proposals, manage clients, track commissions, and grow their businesses. Nexion and Tern share a belief about what the winning model looks like in that environment: a host agency with decades of hard-won advisor trust, paired with technology built by a team whose entire mission is to make that technology excellent. Two organizations, each the best at what they do, working together on behalf of the advisor. Nexion has operated for decades on a clear conviction. A host agency's job is to advocate for its advisors - their independence, their client ownership, their ability to build businesses that belong to them. That job demands focus. It is what Nexion has done, exclusively and without compromise, for every one of its 6,000+ members. "We've always believed that the best way to support our advisors is to give them what they need to succeed, not just as travel sellers, but as business owners," said Laura Bjorne, VP of Business Operations at Nexion. "Tern is the technology partner we've been looking for to help us deliver on that." "The best advisors are out there building real businesses," said Jackie Friedman, President of Nexion Travel Group. "Our job is to make sure they have the support structure to do that well. Partnering with Tern is about giving our members the technology infrastructure that matches the ambition they bring to this industry - without asking them to trade their independence to get it." "We've always believed that the best way to support our advisors is to give them what they need to succeed - not just as travel sellers, but as business owners," said Laura Bjorne, VP of Business Operations at Nexion. "Tern is the technology partner we've been looking for to help us deliver on that." Tern was built with the same singular focus. Its charge? To be the best operating platform for travel advisors and agency owners - AI-assisted itinerary building, client payment authorization, commission reconciliation, and group travel management, all in a single platform that advisors own and control. It is AI-native, purpose-built for the travel industry, and designed to grow alongside the business using it. "What Nexion has built is why we get to exist," said Katie Williams, Co-Founder of Tern. "A community of advisors who are serious about the long-term trajectory of their business, backed by an organization that feels a deep responsibility to equip them properly. This combination of principled host advocacy and purpose-built technology is not a workaround - it is the model we believe wins for advisors in the long run."
