Intracom Telecom has launched uni|MS™ AI, an AI-enabled platform for autonomous network operations, at MWC Barcelona 2026. The platform allows telecommunications operators to define desired outcomes and automatically orchestrates diagnostics, performance analytics and proactive interventions. The system consolidates data streams, prioritises issues, predicts problems and delivers real-time insights, enabling operators to reduce manual data processing whilst improving service delivery. According to John Tenidis, Director of Product Management, the platform helps operators resolve issues faster and scale operations without proportional increases in cost or headcount. Intracom Telecom, a global technology provider operating for over 45 years, specialises in fixed wireless access and 5G/4G wireless transport solutions. The company serves telecom operators, public authorities and large enterprises worldwide.
Intracom Telecom has launched its UltraLink-GX80 Advanced E-Band radio in the United States, offering up to 15 Gbps per direction for wireless transport. Operating in the 71–76 GHz and 81–86 GHz spectrum bands, the solution delivers 15 Gbps full-duplex throughput over a single 2,000 MHz channel. The platform targets 5G backhaul, fronthaul, enterprise connectivity and fibre extension deployments. It can operate standalone or combine with lower-frequency microwave radios in a dual-band configuration for extended link availability whilst maintaining high capacity. The system supports advanced Carrier Ethernet networking and is software-upgradable for IP/MPLS functionality. All-outdoor installation helps service providers reduce equipment, cabinet space and power costs. Intracom Telecom has operated in the technology systems market for over 45 years.
Telecom news: Intracom Telecom, MWC 2026, Starlink, AT&T. Today's telecom news includes announcements on Intracom Telecom, MWC, Starlink, AT&T, among others. Intracom Telecom Unveils High-Speed mmWave FWA Platform at MWC 2026 Intracom Telecom will unveil its new multi-dwelling-unit (MDU) capable millimeter-wave (mmWave) fixed wireless access (FWA) platform at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona. The next-generation system uses AI technology to boost performance, offering extended coverage beyond 13 km and download speeds up to 2.5 Gbps, targeting both residential and multi-dwelling broadband needs. This enhanced mmWave platform demonstrates the industry's focus on leveraging AI and advanced spectrum use to expand broadband access in dense urban and multi-unit environments. The Gujarat government has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Starlink, SpaceX's satellite internet arm, to provide high-speed connectivity in remote, border, and underserved areas. The agreement, formalized in Gandhinagar, involves connecting Common Service Centres, government schools, disaster management centers, ports, and wildlife sanctuaries under the state's Digital Connectivity Mission. Pilot projects will also target tribal districts like Narmada and Dahod, improving access to education, healthcare, telemedicine, and government services. A Joint Working Group will oversee implementation, while connectivity enhancements extend to industrial parks, highway safety systems, and coastal policing.
United Group upgrades Nova network with 5G mmWave FWA for enterprise services. United Group has selected Intracom Telecom to upgrade its network as it looks to capture growing enterprise connectivity demand across its southeastern European footprint. The operator group, which runs the Nova brand, will deploy Intracom Telecom's WiBAS G5 Smart and WiBAS G5 GigaConnect fixed wireless access platforms to deliver high-speed connectivity to business customers using 5G mmWave spectrum in the 26.5 - 27.5 GHz band. The high-capacity frequencies are seen as key for operators targeting multi-gigabit speeds and ultra-low latency services. Nova has been stepping up investment in its infrastructure to strengthen its B2B broadband offering, particularly in urban areas where demand for reliable, high-capacity connectivity continues to rise. United Group and Intracom Telecom have worked together since 2021, when the two signed a multi-year network modernisation programme in Greece aimed at expanding coverage and capacity across major metropolitan areas serving thousands of enterprise customers. Intracom Telecom said the latest deployment will support Nova's ambition to build a high-capacity enterprise connectivity network, while Nova highlighted the role of the upgrade in delivering faster and more resilient services to business users as digitalisation accelerates across the region. More broadly, the move reflects a wider shift among operators towards enterprise and B2B services as digitalisation accelerates across industries. As connectivity becomes critical to unlocking new revenue streams, businesses are investing heavily in digital infrastructure to support cloud adoption, automation and data-driven operations. According to the GSMA, enterprises are expected to spend around 10% of their revenues on digital transformation through to 2030, underlining why high-capacity, low-latency networks are becoming central to operators' growth strategies.
Intracom Telecom has expanded its collaboration with Nova, Greece's largest telecommunications provider and United Group member, to deploy WiBAS G5 FWA platforms for enterprise connectivity over Nova's 5G mmWave spectrum at 26.5-27.5 GHz. The deployment builds on a multi-year network modernisation programme that began in 2021, which has connected thousands of business customers across Greece's major metropolitan areas using Intracom Telecom's point-to-multipoint technology. The new platforms will enable Nova to deliver high-speed, reliable broadband services to business customers. Nova is implementing a €2 billion investment plan through 2027 to develop its 5G network and expand fibre infrastructure. Intracom Telecom, a global technology provider operating for over 45 years, specialises in fixed wireless access and 5G/4G solutions.
